The first time I heard about this album is when a band named "The Walkmen" re-recorded it. I was automatically interested once I heard John Lennon produced it. Then once I looked it up, I found out that Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, Jim Keltner and Klaus Voormann also participated as well. To me, even though it's Harry Nilsson's album, it almost seems like a lost Lennon recording. I don't know much about Nilsson, but for any Beatles fan I would say this album is definitely worth checking out. Stand out tracks on the album are "Too Many Rivers to Cross" as Lennon would later go on to use the background string melody on "#9 Dream". Loop De Loop is also a favorite of mine. And lastly see for yourself if you can't figure out the drug reference on the album cover. All and all a great album worth remembering.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Some great original songs and convers like Many Rivers to Cross and (We're Gonna) Rock Around the Clock. The influence of John Lennon who wrote Much Mungo / Mt. Elga, sang some backing vocals and produced the album, is noticeable. Definitely worth it.

I suspected there were issues, but Harry Nilsson with John Lennon producing? How could it be bad?

A rare example of the collaboration between Lennon and Nilsson with Lennon as producer and Nilsson as artist. A must have for any Nilsson or Lennon fan.
