The first game based on the popular Disney attraction, The Haunted Mansion has players navigating the dark and foreboding Gracey Mansion while solving puzzles, interacting with ghosts, and piecing together the mystery surrounding the abandoned property. Players will make their way through a banquet hall, grand ballroom, armory, conservatory, attic, mausoleum, and more while figuring out a way to bring the restless spirits haunting each room to peace. The action is played from a third-person perspective behind the lead character of Zeke Holloway, a would-be caretaker armed only with a lantern, who soon learns he must switch on the mansion's numerous lights before going about the unsettling business of collecting all 999 trapped souls. <br><br>In order to find and activate the switches, players need to complete a variety of interactive puzzles, explore hidden passageways, and confront creatures such as giant spiders. Yet players are not entirely alone in their adventure, as the voice of deceased fortuneteller Madame Leota helps shed light on things where even Zeke's lantern cannot reach. This lantern is much more than a common tool, with the ability to fire projectiles as well as suck-up souls like a vacuum. The lantern can also be powered-up by completing tasks for some of the game's friendlier ghosts. As Zeke advances through all 20 rooms, he'll need to overcome being shrunk to the size of a pool ball, dodge flying plates, and figure a way out of several other paranormal predicaments lurking behind each new door.

Game arrived safely and in timely manner. Seller did a good job with packaging and I love that the cards were included also. I tested it and proved to be working. Not sure I am going to like the game, but I wanted to add it to my collection as I have fond memories of the DS releases. Spectrobes is really an underrated series at a time when Disney actually put out quality content.

Great for a haunted mansion fan
Got this for my mom who is a huge fan of anything haunted mansion. It had all the haunted mansion elements you know and love but with a totally separate story from the ride and movie so it was very compelling to play and watch. It has lots of challenging puzzles but can be completed in a few days. She loved it and plans on replaying the game every year.

Love it
I wish there were more games like this. The macabre aesthetic combined with the weary trepidation from the main character makes for a compelling experience throughout the entire game. while many of the puzzles are challenging, you can't help but want to master them all. I wish there were more games like this to fill my library.

Very interesting game.
Well done game.They don't make games like these anymore. It is simple but very trained the way they do the puzzles. The story of the game is somewhat different from the Disney movie on which it is based.

HAUNTED MANSION IS SCARY! I LOVE THIS GAME <3
I absolutely love this game. I first thought it was going to be like the movie so I purchased it for my son. I didn't pay attention to the rating of "T" for teen. Little did I know, I was hooked. It's not like the movie and finding the ghosts is wild! The graphics are great and there is a very scary "thing" that screams at you. It shrieks and it actually makes me jump when it shows up. There are tons of rooms in the mansion and different levels of play. I did beginner-easy. (This was hard). You get hints to figure out what you need to do, but its like a maze in each room. I could play this for hours. Its a blast. I wouldn't really recommend it for children under 10 at all, because the things that jump out at you are scary. My son did have a ...
