I bought this book this year (2016), thinking I would find it both interesting and informative. It is neither. It is basically a price book. Not much of anything in the way of the history of the pieces, designers, or time frame that they were available. The author is obsessed with the labels and stickers. Way too many pages devoted to them. I paid only $5.99 for the book , and that's about what it is worth. It has lots of pictures, yes, but quite a few glaring omissions of some of the most popular items available in the early 1950's. Most notably, the boy and girl reindeer figures. EVERY Lefton collector I have know has searched for these figurines. Very well designed and very well painted. If you can find them on e-bay, they are at a very substantial price. How could these be omitted from the book? There are other items that are not listed in the book and there are many misspellings. All in all, if you can borrow this book from a friend, do it! Don't go out and buy it for the $29.99 listed price- you will be disappointed. The same goes for the Lefton, old and new book. A little more info, but all I all, not worth the price. Very nice pictures, but not a lot of real information. Just one collector's opinion.Vollständige Rezension lesen
