Game of Thrones is based on the novel A Game of Thrones, the first entry in A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin. The story takes place in a fictional world, primarily upon a continent called Westeros (and on another continent to the east known as Essos). The noble House Stark, led by Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark (Sean Bean) is drawn into schemes against King Robert Baratheon when the Hand of the King Jon Arryn (Robert's chief advisor) dies mysteriously. Ned must travel south to help the king and find out who killed the previous Hand of the King, Jon Arryn (John Standing), while trying to protect his family from the Lannisters. As he tries to uncover the reasons behind Jon Arryn's death he uncovers the dark secrets about the Lannisters that Arryn himself died trying to expose. Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea in the continent of Essos, the exiled, arrogant Viserys Targaryen (Harry Lloyd), son of the former king whose throne was usurped, believes he still has the rightful claim to the throne. He marries off his younger sister, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), whom he has psychologically and physically abused for years, to the leader of the Dothraki warrior tribe, Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), in an exchange for an army to return to Westeros and take the throne. However, Daenerys' growing love for Drogo and newfound mental strength as the Khaleesi of the tribe mean Viserys' plans go unexpectedly and powerfully awry. And beyond the wall, Ned's bastard son Jon Snow joins the Night's Watch, an ancient brotherhood sworn to watch over the massive Wall that separates the Seven Kingdoms from the dangerous unknown beyond. But an ancient force, long believed dead, threatens the land. OVERALL was entertainment at it's best!!!

ENJOY ! The Good Story in " Game Of Thrones "
The Story gets better & better even tho on the dark side ( This makes it Medieval times ), Everyone Loved it. Can't wait to see the next show. They plan to make 8 seasons. I hope they make more . Greate acting cast, Tyrion Lannister played by( Peter Dinklage ) is a really outstanding with his performances as an actor. I hope they keep him in all the shows . Hope you can enjoy this Medieval Movie for your self as we do . Keep Watching, Laura,The Story gets better & better even tho on the dark side ( This makes it Medieval times ), Everyone Loved it. Can't wait to see the next show. They plan to make 8 seasons. I hope they make more . Hooked from the very first episode!
I'd heard of Game of Thrones for years. Some good, some bad. A lot about the violence and nudity in the series. The series has now ended and I'm just now starting to watch it. I purchased season one just a last month and was hooked from episode one! I sat home the entire weekend and watched the entire season one. I have to say it's one of the greatest shows I've ever watched. The characters are engaging and believable, the story line excellent, and the scenery is dark and beautiful. The main characters are those who believe they should be the next king to replace current one who has just passed away. The shows goes into each of their lives and their families, loved one, and enemies. The show is very easy to follow and addictive. But for adults only. The violence is sometimes very brutal ... I just started watching last month and just purchased the fourth season. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves, knights, castles, kings, dragons, and magic.

SO MUCH FOR GETTING THINGS DONE TODAY ON MY "CHORE" DAY! I STARTED WATCHING THIS EPIC AT 10:30 THIS A.M., AND 12 HOURS LATER, i'M JUST FINISHING SEASON 1. I'VE HEARD FROM FRIENDS IT ONLY GETS BETTER. IF YOU LIKE MOVIES OF THIS GENRE, THIS IS A CAN'T MISS SERIES! HBO HAS DONE IT AGAIN, ANOTHER SERIES THAT KEEPS YOU GLUED TO THE TV!!
