The item was in perfect shape. Shipping package was very sturdy. I would definitely purchase from this vendor again. Communication was great. This is not the sellers fault, I would ask if they could send packages using anybody but The USPS. Slow, they must have routed it all across the USA. Like I said, NOT THE SELLERS FAULT.

Great movie for fans and noobs alike.
This is a really good movie, whether you are a Rush fan or not. It's well done with lots of cameos and interviews with familiar faces like Jack Black, Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor, Timmy (from Rage Against the Machine), it's a long list of greats. There are more interviews with Alex, Geddy & Neil in this movie than I've seen in the last 30 years combined! Great insights to these goof balls who crank out such powerful music. Neil talks a lot of his troubles and recovery from the deaths of his daughter and wife (within a year's time), he's the hardest one to get to open up and not only to we get to hear his side but that of Alex & Geddy who were going through all that with Neil. Amazing footage and pics show the roots of this band, even footage of a ... This is a really good movie, whether you are a Rush fan or not. I recommend this movie to anyone who has an interest in Rush or the hardcore fan who has a parent, wife, relative or friend who just doesn't get you completely.

RUSH to get this(pun intended) as it's a great fun feel good awesome movie!
I loved this movie. First of all I have been a Rush fan since 1980 after hearing the Spirit of the Radio and Free Will from the Permanent Waves album. The documentary on Rush was prefered in that format rather than a script as it was honest. There is video of the band which has a very humble group of guys. In contrast you usually had super groups with the stuck up swelled up ego maniacal musicians. Not with these guys even though there are three great musicians who are experts in their own field of musicianship. Even other power trios like ZZ top had just guitarist Billy Gibbons carry the group. Led Zeppelin has both Jimmy Page and John Bonham carry the group. Bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and super duper drummer Neil Peart are among the best at their respective instruments. I ... I loved this movie. Unlike the Beatles who got big egoes as they went on in their careers, Rush remains very humble and down to earth. They're also great role models as you see that Lee, Lifeson, and Peart were family men that fame never spoiled. An example was that they toured with Kiss on the road in 1976. Legendary womanizer Kiss bassist Gene Simmons would have a large number of groupies. Rush never partook of this as after concerts they'd be watching television in their hotel rooms. This was while their wives were at home raising their children. Also as songwriters they saw their responsibilties as warning everyone about the nuclear race as in the songs distant early warning and Red sector A. Of course because the message was more important than jamming, Lee had to sing the message rather than belt it out singing in a more mellow style so people could understand the seriousness of the situation. We also follow Rush to see that they had an open mind and got into synthesizers, electronic keyboards, pedals and effects rather than straight out hard rock. You also see Rush as innovators as Lifeson and Lee are dressed au courant in jackets and ties in Distant Early warning video in 1984. It's a misnomer that it started in the Miami Vice tv series as it would debut later that year. This is probably my favorite rock movie having surpassed both my other favorites such as the Beatles Anthology DVD set, the Beatles a Hard Day's Night, and the Band's the Last Waltz. Maybe this documentary movie will lead to a real dramatic Rush movie. For I have both Rush and Tom Hanks as myspace friends. I have joked with Tom Hanks that drummer Neil Peart looks a lot like him in the video Time Stands Still circa 1987. This is a must get film as when Rush gets inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame all hell will break loose. It's an injustice that Rush hasn't been voted in yet. It's comparable to as if New York Yankees Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio were not in the hall of fame. Enough said. Simply five out of five rating.

GENIUS DOCUMENTARY
What an incredible documentary. Being a long time RUSH fan I would have to say that this is instantly one of my favorite DVD's released by them. I really enjoyed the other well known musicians comments and reflections on the worlds greatest rock band. I am also a huge Neil Peart fan. Not just his drumming talents but his deep and thought provoking metaphysical lyrics. They are timeless life lessons woven with incredible music. The "underlying theme" indeed. It's no wonder why they nicknamed Neil "The Professor". He has taught me for over 30 years now. GREAT DVD!!What an incredible documentary. Beyond the Lighted Stage delivers quite the Rush!
Enjoyed this incredibly. I watch a different music dvd every Wednesday evening with a friend who enjoys music as much as I do and this was one of the best coverages of a group I've seen. Tom Petty's Runnin down a Dream was on par with how in depth the coverage was on this DVD. Rush shows their true selves on this which is very interesting and gives the public quite a treat just seeing them as they are comprehensively. The biggest drawback to me in this is that I would have liked to have seen Limelight and Tom Sawyer covered or played in concert in it's entirety. Limelight starts out the first disc but doesn't finish and Tom Sawyer is talked about but would sure have liked to have seen these monsters performed completely. But that said it is more than worth the time ... Enjoyed this incredibly. An Absolute Must For Rush Fans!
HEAR!... The story of rush from their own lips. From youth to now, through tragedy and recovery. SEE!.... Rare performances, Stars of Stage and Screen sharing their love of Rush, home towns and sites of first gigs. FEEL!... The sudden urge to go see these guys LIVE! immediately. Seriously......... I wanted to talk about this DVD with everyone, but I found it so frustrating, cause, you will find yourself surrounded by Not-so-big-fans-of-Rush. Their loss. This 2 DVD set is full of information for Rush fans only. We even get to see them in an intimate meeting about future endevors, while they get "light-heartedly lit" on fine wine and wild game (Alex is hysterical.) Best documentary you will see this year if not the next decade...HEAR!... The story of rush from their own lips. From youth to now, through tragedy and recovery. SEE!....
