Remarkable iPod for music listening only.
Even 6 years past its release, this iPod continues to be the best compact iPod around for MUSIC. Outstanding design, straightforward and flawless user interface. Great quality sound, build and battery life. I'm able to sport over 1300 songs in 256kb AAC, which I was reluctant at first but ended up surprised with the quality. With good headphones or connected to a stereo this little thing really shines through. I can start listening to an album while walking, then get in my car and plug it to the radio, and when I get home plug it in the Universal dock with remote (which is connected to a stereo) and finish the album seamlessly. The best thing is that the music pauses every time you unplug the headphones or audio cable, although on mine it doesn't always work - which forces me to check the ... Even 6 years past its release, this iPod continues to be the best compact iPod around for MUSIC. Outstanding design, straightforward and flawless user interface. And when you get bored you can test your knowledge of your own music library with Music Quiz. --- This is the best iPod I've ever used, besides perhaps the Classic (clunkier but with more storage) and the 4th and 5th gen nano (also good-looking but more expensive and unnecessary extra stuff). If you're looking for a great, compact, sturdy and stripped-down music player with great sound quality, this little thing is dead on. If you're looking for extra gimmicky features, video, games, cameras and that sort of thing, you're in the wrong place. That's what the iPod touch is for. --------------- GOOD: Design; User Interface; Click Wheel; aluminium finish; size and weight; sound quality; the screen doesn't go off when playing music so there's no need to press buttons to see the track title. BAD: remote and mic on Apple headphones are not supported; no Cover Flow.

I think maybe the battery needs replacing as it only worked when connected to electricity.
Apart from the fact that this device could not be used for mobile listening, it was in very good condition. However because it was usable when mobile, this seller offered to take it back.

The price of the item was excellent and its hard to complain about something at such a good price. The item looks good in black and is sleek but was a bit battered as a 2nd hand item and is not easy to secure for exercising or such things. The storage on it is great though and although the operation of the controls is not easy to solve without instructions, it is fairly easy to use. Overall it was an excellent product & purchase for a person who is not that into "high Tech" but just likes to listen to musicThe price of the item was excellent and its hard to complain about something at such a good price. I like iPods
I've already got an earlier version of the same model, but this has more capacity. I've not used it properly yet, so can't comment on its performance.

i was never interested in the iPod then i needed something simple and small for my lounge so i looked at the iPod as it was small, it is so great wish i had bought one earlier, it is so easy to use and with the docking station just what i needed the sound is good and i find it so easy to down load onto, i am in my late fifties so if i can use it anyone can. i even take it to the gym with me a great little compact music player and it holds so many songsi was never interested in the iPod then i needed something simple and small for my lounge so i looked at the iPod as it was small, it is so great wish i had bought one earlier, it is so easy to use and with the docking station just what i needed the sound is good and i find it so easy to down load onto, i am in my late fifties so if i can use it anyone can. i even take it to the gym with me a great little compact music player and it holds so many songs
