This is a solid product, and works well after I set it up for my AT Pro. I really don't see why this shaft doesn't come with a few different mounting plates so you don't have to permanently modify your housing by grinding / cutting the mounting bosses down to 5-6 mm. Why don't they offer an additional kit / bracket for 5-10 bucks as to NOT have to cut up your housing? This would be extremely easy to do. If you are willing to do the 10-15 mins worth of modification on the AT PRO this kit does indeed really make the AT Pro easy to break down and seems to be worth the money. However, for this price I think they could offer up various different mounting brackets since we are talking a tiny piece of plastic. If you have friends with a 3d printer you could make your own very easily.... maybe I need to go into the business of doing that.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Got this shaft for my Fisher F19. It will work on most Fishers and Teknetics of the same type/era. It was easy to set up for that model. No cutting necessary and I can return to the original shaft if needed. I bought it to be able to make my detector as compact as possible for carrying and it does that very well. I absolutely love the grip on this thing. Much better than the original foam handle. I gather it's about a third of the size of a regular shaft and coil assembly once compacted. I don't care much for the arm rest design. It works but the underside "stand" is not as tall or large as the Fisher original making the detector just a little more unstable when set on uneven ground. No biggie. The instructions are almost useless. Most people will not need them much but seriously, Mars could have done something better. Mars could have supplied one more detector bracket with the kit. I would love to set another detector head on a separate bracket and carry it in a backpack. I would have the option of swapping for a high, medium or low frequency detector at will without carrying one more shaft. I hear some say "but just buy a multi frequency detector" NO, that's not the same as having 2 very different machines with a whole different set of options. I agree with the poster who said Mars needs to add special brackets for other detectors. As it is, it's not exactly universal.Vollständige Rezension lesen

The quality is good but they want you to cut into a water proof unit to make a bracket fit . Plus if you cut the head unit it's done and you can't go back and your forever stuck with that shaft .so I'm gonna cut into a 800 dollar head unit for a 120 dollar shaft ? I don't think so I'll make my Own bracket

Mounting a Silver Umax required purchase of a longer 3/16” bolt and a countersink. I don’t care for the added weight but I do like the compactness and ready to go ability. The Velcro arm strap could be longer. It’s well made so overall happy with it.

I made my GPX 4500 fit the shaft with a little work. Alot more comfortable swinging the big coils.
