Canon IXUS 60 compact digital camera
Our old Ixus 30 pocket camera finally wore out. Has produced some of the best colour prints up to 14 X 16 inch I have ever taken. (my main camera is NIKON D70s!) The depth of colour range is amazing and there is the bonus of a viewfinder as well. The 60 offers the same compact size and more pixels. The extra pixels are irrelevant unless you are printing above 14 X 16 Inches! (if it's cropping out or poster printing that is your style then go for highest pixel rating you can afford with the highest quality lens you can afford!) The 60 has a larger rear screen and that's great for checking the picture quality. Would not buy anything else if a compact 'handbag/pocket camera' is what you are seeking. The video quality is also very good to record the 'moment' and the build quality is ... Our old Ixus 30 pocket camera finally wore out. An ideal camera for a wide range of users, with a great lens.
I love this camera. I'm now on my second, not because the first has in any way failed, but because I wouldn't go anywhere without it, and it would just be thrown into my handbag or pocket with no cover. Stupidly, after many years of such camera abuse, I eventually scratched the screen. Hence number 2, which has a case. This camera is light but solidly made, compact, easy to use, large screen, but most importantly it has a wonderful lens. OK, if you're a birdwatcher, it doesn't have the zoom of other cameras, but I'm not a birdwatcher. I'm more interested in pin-sharp photos, and I've taken some on this camera where you can count every grain of pollen inside a flower.I love this camera. Canon PowerShot IXUS 60 Digital Camera
I had to replace my old Ixus 60 after it had been dropped, and did not like the feel or fussiness of the new Canon Ixus cameras. This one feels the right weight, sits in my hand nicely, takes excellent pictures with a choice of pixel numbers, and best of all, it's really easy to use. It has all the features that I use often eg: large screen size plus viewfinder for sunny days, flash, night shot, close up macro, video with sound, easy download options(plus lots of other features that I rarely use too). I liked the fact all the instructions including the start up disc were in the box and the leather case was in perfect condition . It has taken me a couple of weeks to get the hang of itbut thats just me. I worked out today how to zoom in and take a picture' My last camera could not do this. I like this camera it fits in my handbag and the charge seems to last ages. and I think Canon items are well worth the money and talking of money the price for this camera all the extras and the postage was very good indeed I thought 50pounds was a great priceI liked the fact all the instructions including the start up disc were in the box and the leather case was in perfect condition .
