Jim Sonzero's feature-film directorial debut--itself a remake of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Japanese horror hit KAIRO--is a claustrophobic examination of where technology is headed, loosely falling into the same genre as films like Takashi Miike's ONE MISSED CALL and Gore Verbinski's THE RING. Elia Cmiral's atmospheric score heightens the tension.

This DVD for me was boring.
To be honest i watch DVds in bed at night...With this DVD I fell asleep after 10 mins or so...I gave the DVD another chance but could not get into the plot. For me this DVD is boring, unlike other horrors such as the Sleepaway 4 fils or messenger 1 and 2. For me boring, but my wife liked the DVD so it might have something I missed.

This is one of the many American remakes of Japanese horror films which has been the case over the last few years (I.e "The Grudge","The Ring","Dark Water" etc,etc.This one centres on the new technology (I.e I pods, Email, Mobile Phones,Digital Camera's) that are now the norm all over the world. The young cast find that their everyday use of these items starts to invite spirits,ghosts,and Monsters to do everything in their power to undermine their everyday life, and numerous unexplained murders, and strange occurances take place regularly. I found this enjoyable, but you need to concentrate hard as there is so much going on,and so many people involved it does start to get a bit confusing.Maybe a second viewing may sort that out.Aparently the Japanese version,the original, of this Movie ...
