Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical
The show, in case anyone was unaware, has some of the most beautiful music to be found anywhere. The production values of the DVD are first-rate. Sound and video are excellent. The singing ranges from great (both female leads) to weak (the male lead, David Hasselhoff) If you can get beyond his somewhat mannered acting and lackluster singing you will enjoy the experience. As the show progresses however,he does become easier to watch and is definitely better as Hyde than Jekyll This DVD is well worth anyone's time who is a fan of the show, since its the only way to see it. A Big Wonderful Step
Jekyll & Hyde is one of the best DVDs you can buy. Not only are you getting a great musical play, but it made it to BROADWAY and with it, it presented us with a marvelous singer that many of us have only associated (myself included) with BayWatch. I had no idea David could handle a part like this so masterfully! I literally could not get enough of the entire production. I found it first on one of the premium channels and watched it no less than 8 times. I now have the DVD so I can watch it somemore! It's not just David who is good. It has a wonderful cast. Lucy, the gal who befriends both Jekyll & Hyde, is played by Coleen Sexton. She has a beautiful voice and it blends with the other actors just perfectly. Andrea Rivette plays Henrys'fiancee. She is perfect for the part. She has ... Jekyll & Hyde is one of the best DVDs you can buy. He is credited for other musicals such as "Svengali" and a multi- tude of songs you will find on Linda Eders' CDs. Frank and Linda were married for several years and much of his music is written with her vocal abilities in mind. In fact, she was the original Lucy. She, however, is another whole review!! Buy this CD. Let's support David Hasselhoffs' dream to make it big on B'way. There's got to be a part for him in " Les Mis"....and wouldn't he make a darling Curly in "Oklahoma"?!!!

David Hasslehoff Ruins Jekyll & Hyde
I love jekyll & hyde, the music is great, the scenery was pretty good though i didn't like all of it, and the costumes were fabulous. As for the acting, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE never cast david hasslehoff into another musical, he vibrettod way to much so he actually sounded like a goat, it was horrid! then his acting wasn't even that good in some parts! now he wasn't the worst but it's just so hard to get over his goat sounding vibretto. But the rest of the cast isn't that bad. Overall i enjoyed watching this and i can't wait for the actaul movie to hit theaters. Don't judge by the actor...
This is a very enjoyable performance of Jekyll and Hyde the Musical. I didn't expect to like it because I was used to the London version and...well...okay, I'll admit it, I was very concerned when I saw that David Hasselhoff was the star. I almost didn't order it because I wasn't sure I would be able to take him seriously (sorry Baywatch-ers). I am happy to admit that I was wrong. He was fantastic in the dual role! If you're used to the London performance there are a few things (Emma vs Lisa, etc) but it's still an excellent production.This is a very enjoyable performance of Jekyll and Hyde the Musical. I didn't expect to like it because I was used to the London version and...well...okay, I'll admit it, I was very concerned when I saw that David Hasselhoff was the star. I almost didn't order it because I wasn't sure I would be able to take him seriously (sorry Baywatch-ers). I am happy to admit that I was wrong. He was fantastic in the dual role! Amazing performances by the entire cast.
Hasselhoff has an amazing voice and acting talent. The entire cast preformed as a seasoned group of actors and vocalists. The two main female vocalists are amazing. Filming on the stage was masterfully done. Kudos to the director and the film crew. I got lost in the production as I do with live theater. Hasselhoff's change from Jekyll to Hyde on center stage was accomplished in a way that was amazing. Compliments to the talent of both actor and makeup creators. It's obvious that this viewer had an absolute amazing time watching these professionals ply their craft for me.
