Honestly was surprised I did not realize it was polyurethane rubber. More of a plus for me since it'll at least last a bit longer than plastic in theory. Wish the instructions mentioned something about leaving a couple millimeters gap i had to readjust so many times because having it flush would the glass would not let the trunk open at all.
