Canon ip7250 problems
This is a good product with one major flaw - the instructions for using it are next to useless. The initial first setup using the instructions that were in the box are quite vague: I could only get the wireless connection to work by putting the printer right next to the router for it to recognise and connect WiFi. 20 feet away - no connection. Next, using the printing system for printing onto discs, which is what I bought it for. After some hours trying to make head or tails of the online user manual, I went onto YouTube, and watched a very useful video which clearly demonstrates the procedure. (Not an official Canon site, though). After following the video instructions I got a disc printing result with which I was very pleased with. The YouTube videos also demonstrate the two (why two?) ... This is a good product with one major flaw - the instructions for using it are next to useless. The YouTube videos also demonstrate the two (why two?) paper feed in drawers; again I got a very good result printing a photograph. There are three media feed input trays on the front of this device, the disc input feed is quite well hidden: the YouTube video clearly explains how to use the media feed drawers: Canon take note. As Multi system printer it is excellent, but the whole ownership experience is marred by by very poor instructions of how to get the best from it. I am not a novice when it comes to printer tech; but I feel buyers should be prepared to put some hours in to get this printer up and running and using all the features. Without YouTube I would still be in the dark. Canon really need to put greater effort in how to fully use their kit, a half dozen diagrams on a sheet of A3 doesn't cut it. On the plus side, I had a rapid delivery from the seller, and the non Canon cartridges he supplied with it worked without any hesitation. Considering this printer does not have an inbuilt scanner it certainly has a large footprint - the biggest of all printers I have owned. Overall, I consider this a very good device, and well worth the money, but buyers should be aware of the lack of proper user instructions from Canon. Watch the YouTube videos and save yourself a lot of hassle. P.S. watching the YouTube video, the uploader recommends a great piece of software for making printed discs, far more easy to use than Canons method. I downloaded it and found it child's play to use. I have some high quality glossy adhesive full size disc labels which I stuck onto and ordinary dvd and then used the ip7250 to print onto. Result!

Ink system
I have put not easy to set up as there are several ways to set this system up to your printer I suggest you look on you tube and see them and then choose the one you are most comfortable with. (Or if you are so minded make your own set up)Follow the instructions and Once installed and running it is very low maintenance all you have to do if printing a lot is check on the ink levels in the tanks to keep them topped up. Bottles of ink are readily available.This system will in the long run pay for itself as 1 you never have to go to the expense to buy new cartridges, 2 you don't have to get covered in ink changing them and disposing of the old ones. 3 this system you never have to touch the cartridges again as they reset themselves and always remain with ink inside as long as you remember to ... Convenient CD/DVD & Photo Printing.
Very good print quality & easy to use. Primarily bought as a CD/DVD printer as so few printers at reasonable price capable of this now. Am now printing own photos on it now as quality is excellent. Unfortunately it lacks a scanner facility but as no need to access the top, I just park my other Canon Printer/Scanner on top and they look well together.

There's upsides and downsides to this product. First the bad news...If you are using a PC running Windows 10, then throw away the CD that comes with the printer (if it is the same Win Vista/7 one that I had..). If you install unsuitable drivers, you will get very frustrated and have to reinstall new ones from the Canon Website... The only other downside is that you will need a separate scanner as the printer doesn't have one.. Oh and make sure you google how to print on CDs before you attempt it yourself - there is little help from canon on what is a bit of an involved process, just FINDING the CD tray is an adventure in itself.. So the upsides... Once you have it set up and figured out where they hid the CD tray, it works great - nice printing even does DUPLEX!!! wow, I was NOT expecting ... Also...unbranded inks are cheap and readily available - but, to be fair, it has not run out of any of the factory supplied inks yet and we have printed off loads more than our previous printer could have coped with...The CD printing works well once you have figured it out - be patient, don't do anything until the software tells you to do it... Remarkably few on-board features and buttons compared with my previous printer, but it shows that really I didn't need that screen and all those features built into the printer if I have access to everything from the PC software.. All in all, I am really pleased with my purchase, the printer is quietly efficient and does more than I expected for the budget price that I paid...

It actually has an amazing feature set for the price you pay Replacement inks can be pricey but we tend to use third party rather than OEM inks so this saves quite a considerable amount on running costs. The only negative points I would say are its quite noisy and takes quite some time to initially start-up... If you want to print quickly then this isn't good as you could almost go and make a cup of tea while you wait for it to initially start up; once it going though its speed is absolutely fine... We use a small B/W laser printer for the majority of stuff at home which warms up and prints straight away so this issue isn't a big deal to us as we use this Canon IP7250 just for our more high end quality colour ... In all honesty for £50.00 you can't really complain as it does everything yuo need it to very well just slow and noisy at times. Buy some ear plugs make a cup of tea and relax while you print!
