Pros: 1.) Sleek and sexy- nothing compares to the design of the iPhone. It's "seems" durable so far- the glass shield takes a lot of wear with minimal impact. 2.) Loaded with features (duh). The wifi option works very well, navigation is very easy, iPod, iVideo, Camera, Google Maps, Weather, Stocks, Safari web browsing... all of it is fantastic. It does everything a "normal" phone might do only much, much better. 3.) Display is AMAZING - self-oriented screen, maximized resolution (not one cm is spared). Lighting is day or night is above average. 4.) OS is very responsive- While I've had a couple of experience where there seemed to be "issues" with the OS, overall it has been a very good experience. No slow down, never crashed, very responsive to the touch, etc. Cons: 1.) EDGE network is less than average. I know this is a gripe with AT&T but it does effect the iPhone since AT&T is the exclusive carrier. I am in Chandler, AZ area and constantly have dropped calls, dropped EDGE data, latency issues, etc. C'mon AT&T- get it together already! (WiFi is awesome though! Use it when you can!) 2.) I want to send multiple pictures in one email, please. (More of a personal grudge) 3.) A beautiful camera but where's the video functionality?? (I hear this is coming) 4.) Push technology is less than desirable. It doesn't work consistently- that's my issue with it. I've tried numerous email servers and it's all the same.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Price The apple iphone 3 GB is currently only available on o2. Personally, I think this is a good thing because o2 are an excellent phone company and the others simply just don't deserve it! O2 own the rights to sell the iphone from apple and this is why you can't buy it from your local orange shop or whatever. Now, my phone is on pay as you go. I have what is called a 30 day contract which is sim only meaning I have all the advantages of a contract but it's cheaper because the 'free' phone isn't included in my monthly price. Therefore, my boyfriend bought this for me on pay as you go and I put my sim in it. Now as it was a present I can't tell you how much he paid. However I believe he purchased it from an o2 store in which case it would have been about £350. Okay so this is allot of money for a phone. But as you will find out throughout this review. It is simply not just a phone and if, you're going to look after it, well worth the money. You can also get this on contract. The price of the iphone varies from free to £155 depending on which phone you get in terms of GB and which contact you take out. Functions This phone has absolutely everything and anything you could ever desire a phone to have. It has GPS through the use of maps which can give directions whether you are driving, walking or taking public transport. This feature also provides the user with a satellite view or a street map view or a hybrid of both depending upon how you intend to use your maps. Technical stuff: Available versions: 8GB Black, 16GB, 32GB Black or White Weight: 133g Screen: 3.5inch, 480 x 320 pix, resolution 163 ppi Doesnt' allow use of memory cards, video (unless you have Iphone 3GS) or MP3 ringtones. The Bluetooth is also fairly limited. Also it has that all important iPod. The iPod on the phone does exactly the same as the normal iPod touch. My boyfriend has one and the functions are exactly the same. The iPod touch is absolutely wonderful. I have an 8GB iphone and I'm not sure how much the phone bit actually takes up in terms of the memory but you can still fit allot of songs on this phone. I have about 1000 I think and still have memory free to add extra applications etc. its widescreen, you can view videos through the iPod and there are different formats you can use to view your songs.Vollständige Rezension lesen
The iPhone is definitely a great tool for the high-tech lives we live today. I personally am an anti-Mac guy but I do love the iPhone. My favorite feature is the maps feature where you can search for virtually anything and get their phone number, address, web address, directions to and from or you can add them to your contacts. And this can all be done with one simple touch of the screen! I also love the ease of the software. Everything is very easy to use on the phone. Setting up my email was very easy and I've had no problems with my internet browser (except the slow Edge network). My cons with this phone are few. I don't like the Edge network; sometimes it's so slow it's virtually non-functional but this is an AT&T problem. Sometimes it freezes up and I have to restart the phone. It gets very hot if you talk on the phone while it's charging. With the pros and cons stated, the phone is an overall great tool for the modern age and I recommend it!Vollständige Rezension lesen
Probably the coolest phone I have ever owned. Most features are really easy to use, I figured them out in no time. Takes great photos, and is easy to connect to the internet, and the e-mail is really simple. My only two complaints are the lack of data transfer using bluetooth, I really like to share ringtones with my co-workers, and the big one for me is the visual voicemail. Using the old system you can reply to voicemails or send one through the voicemail system without having to actually call someone. This was great for sending those messages when you knew someone was busy. It was also a great, private way to keep in touch with someone if you couldn't get alot of privacy to actually talk to them. With the visual voice mail you can't do that. The name of the person that calls is displayed on the screen, so is the name of the person who leaves you a voicemail message. I don't like this at all! It is absolutley NOT private! I really wish apple had left the voice mail alone! Other than that, everything else is great.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Well.. I've finally got an iPhone. I waited months for this thing to be released. I was hooked as soon as it premiered at Macworld and immediately wanted one. Here is a break-down of the Pro's and Con's that I see in this amazing device. Pros: -The display is very clear and detailed. -The touch-screen is simple to use and keeps the device buttonless. -It is a good size device and not as heavy as expected. -The battery life is actually pretty decent on this, considering all of it's features. -It has wi-fi, so I can snag open connections for internet browsing while sipping java at my local coffee shop. -The menu's are simple to navigate, keeping the phone easy to use even for the not so tech-savvy person. -The camera quality is amazing for a cell phone. Cons: -I foresee this getting scratched up quite easily. -I'll be waiting to see the 80GB version soon. I can't store too many tunes on this with all the other stuff I use it for. -I can't access itunes from the phone. I have to connect it to my computer. (LAME!!!) Conclusion: I love this product. It's about time the U.S. finally gets a cool gadget since the rest of the world seems to be up on us in technology when it comes to cell phones. Is this thing worth the dough? Not to me. I wouldn't pay this much for a phone, I'd wait until they came down in price. But I got mine free at wickeddeals.net so I can't complain. If nothing else, stop in at your local AT&T or Apple store and just play around with one. It's pretty sweet.Vollständige Rezension lesen
