Last but certainly not least, the conniving duo of vain Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) and his power-hungry mom, the Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders), spice up the action.When Fiona insists that her new husband Shrek visit her parents, they travel to Far Far Away (a Disneyfied medieval version of Hollywood) where everything goes wrong. The King and Queen are outraged to see their daughter married to an ogre, and while Fiona tries to calm them, Shrek sets out to find a solution. He finds it, in the form of a Happily Ever After potion, which only complicates matters, drawing all parties into a confused exchange of magic and spells, all for the sake of true love. With shimmering animation giving SHREK 2 near-3-D visuals, the witty scripting and eclectic pop music soundtrack keep the film hopping along with an upbeat pace. "Holding Out for a Hero" by Frou Frou, and "Livin' la Vida Loca" by Eddie Murphy are the most raucous of the film's many great songs, though more subtle numbers such as "Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows, and "Little Drop of Poison" by Tom Waits certainly enrich some key scenes of this enjoyable family film.

Keep The Laughs Coming For A 2nd Round Of Mischief!!
I first saw this movie with some friends from work. This film is jam-packed with hidden tongue-in-cheek jokes and visual humor - there is so much detail. This film is a delight for young children to the senior set and everyone in between. Eddie Murphy is back as the lovable Donkey - he is perfect in this role and personally, I think he (Donkey) should have his own spin-off movie. This one character is a movie unto himself. Joining the crew from the original Shrek installment are Julie Andrews (Fiona's mother), John Cleese (her father), Antonio Banderas (Puss-n-Boots) and Jennifer Saunders (the naughty Fairy Godmother). The clever ways in which the screenwriters twisted the fairytale characters while still giving them reverence and respect is enough to make you cry from laughing so ... There are inferences to movies such as "Flashdance" and "Mission Impossible" and many others. Pinnocchio is no doubt a wooden embodiment of Michael Jackson (high-pitched voice, good dancer, longs to be a little boy, etc.) and there are many inferences to famous people... there is even a helicopter view of police chasing a white bronco! There were very few moments in this film in which I was not laughing outloud or doubled-over - and in those few instances, it was to catch my breath. This film is an instant classic that is safe to show to your kids and grandkids from now until generations to come. On top of the fantastic animation and lovable characters, the underlying story is an awesome theme to teach to children: it's not how you look or how other people treat you that matters - it's the content of your character and how much you love others. A SOLID MOVIE To add to your DVD collection!!

Beautiful and live instructing
I’ve always loved shrek since I watched the first film before this one. I never had it on dvd as I started out with the vhs version. And I like how it shows us, that if you really love someone, you can’t be too ashamed to change for them, and it’s beautiful. But unfortunately, the Spanish dub cannot be accessed in far far away idol as it was included I Only on vhs, but the dvd is all worth it anyway. The cd plays and that’s what is important here ❤️ As for the plotline, I have been an avid Shrek fan and Shrek 2 is my absolute favourite. The soundtrack is amazing and the story is astounding. I highly recommend. And for the price? An easy buy!

Gut Busting Funny!
This is a really nice movie, My little girl is a big Shrek fan. I enjoy watching the Shrek movies with her, the grown up sense of humor keeps me in the movie and she loves the crazy charaters. If you want to watch a movie that will keep you in tears this one is sure to please.
