For general work of high quality the G10 is excellent to use nd gives high quality responsive shot without resorting to a host of equipment. Indeed its "portability" is often taken for granted and because of this I think its qualities are often overlooked because they are simply taken for granted.

This is a real enthusiast camera in compact form. It has all the manual settings as well as program settings like an SLR. It may prove to be a bit heavy for some, but that is an indication of it’s quality build. The Mai body is aluminium so should stand up to the odd bump. This particular used camera was in excellent condition.

I am no David Bailey - oops, that dates me - and use a phone mostly for snaps. But the Canon is mostly used for, you guessed it, ebay adverts, And it is easy to use with a nice feel. I know there is far more to it, but perhaps I will learn a bit more at a time.

No doubt canon G-series cameras are best in all compact cameras..in G10 only megapixcel and ISO is higher the G9..and little other things are up graded other wise both are same . I had Powershot G9...beautiful and crystal clean photos ,if you know how to make photos.. it is best .G9 and G10 for me are same but price different is big difference.what i would recommend..If you have £200 to £270 pounds for compact camera Just buy from ebay G10.or G9..instead of buying new G10 in £400.or G9 still over £300 pound for new..G9 to G12 all are best
Following in the footsteps of a long and successful line of advanced cameras, the G10 had a lot to live up to. The bottom line in our opinion is that in spite of some minor imperfections, the latest PowerShot G camera proves to be a very well rounded package. In short, even in the face of high expectations, Canon delivered the goods with its latest flagship PowerShot. At the moment, the advanced compact camera market has settled in terms of price at around the $500 mark. For that kind of outlay, it's not unreasonable to ask yourself whether your needs might not be better served by an entry-level DSLR: basic models from every manufacturer will do essentially everything the G10 does, provide superior high-ISO and shooting speed performance without exception, and do so for only a little more than this PowerShot's considerable price tag (not to mention that the G10 weighs almost as much as many of these larger cameras). But if having a compact camera is your thing, and you're also the kind of photographer who's looking for serious resolution and manual controls, the G10 may just be the ticket. For landscape shooters, urban/architectural photographers, or anyone else with a need for lots of resolution in a smaller or more incognito package, the PowerShot G10 is a good fit. In our view, its new control arrangement, impressive dynamic range for its resolution, and improved raw shooting and in-camera JPEG processing make the G10 the most high-function PowerShot yet for serious photographers. Pros: * Richly detailed high-resolution images * Superb wide-angle lens * Excellent LCD is large and crisp * Lots of dedicated controls should appeal to serious shooters * Snappy performance in most areas Cons: * Images are objectively noisy * Continuous shooting speed a drag * Weak video options * Large, heavy, intimidating, and expensive for casual shutterbugsVollständige Rezension lesen
