I have purchased this engine model for my son. The engine is very simplified for a first educational step. The only problem is that it doesn’t work without help. I have been trying many solutions but it seems it’s not well designed.

The fan/compressor drive train is driven by an air jet supplied by a small fan. Although I had the drive train spinning freely and tested the system by blowing air onto the fan ( in accordance with the recommendations of the kit instructions) the fan performance is totally inadequate to provide sufficient air volume/ pressure to rotate the drive train. Disappointing. Would have been better with micro electric motor and pulley drive
