Usually when a group's lead singer departs, they are history. RH shockingly rebutted that trend and released their best overall effort sans frontman Larry Stewart, with the remaining four original members alternating leads and covering the harmonies. Drummer John Dittrich sings lead on the crossover radio staple "When She Cries", and on the 1994 re-release of this album replaces David Innis's "We're Gonna Be OK" with the incredible eagle-esque hit "Tell Me What You Dream." Every song on the album is well written, catchy, and immediately accessible. The production is as good as I've heard for this genre, both musically and technically. The harmonies and musicianship are stellar. Don't miss this album. If you like the Eagles, you'll love it.
I recently saw a Restless Heart concert and wondered why I haven't listened to more of their music. They are excellent musicians that obviously have played together for a long time. What a great sound, both instrumently and vocally.
This is one of my favorite CD's. Love the title song "Big Iron Horses" but there are several other great songs on this CD.
