"Big Miracle" was recorded in widescreen format with an aspect ratio of 2.39:1. The widescreen format enables all of the elements of the film to be viewed by the home audience, and the Blu-ray version of the film comes equipped with several versions of audio, including English, French, and Spanish. There is also Dolby Digital 5.1 in English, French, and Spanish. DTS HD Master audio and DTS surround 5.1 are also available in these languages with this Blu-ray disc. The subtitles available on the on the drama are in French and English. "Big Miracle" features several special additions to be viewed by the home viewer. Deleted scenes are included on the drama. The blue-ray further offers commentary with the director.     great movie to pickup and watch

    there are lots of movies targeted at children, but it can be tough to find a film both tame enough for youngsters and smart enough for adults. with big miracle, ken kwapis (the sisterhood of the traveling pants) has done a fine job striking the balance. the film is based on operation breakthrough, a 1988 effort that saw dozens of people struggling to free three gray whales that became trapped near point barrow, alaska. while attempting to reach the open sea, the whales became walled in by rapidly forming ice. so they began to bob in an open hole,doing their best to keep the water from freezing over and drowning them in the process. this is a great movie to pick up and watch for adults and kids alike.

    Big Miracle a definately watch

    This is one of the most incredible movies I have seen in a long time. It is wonderful for a family night dinner movie , trust me no one will want to move from beginning to end. This is very heart felt animal loving make you want to get in the movie and help these whales. It is very well written and acted and depicted, you will will most surely fall in love with these whales and want to do all you can yourself to help even if your not an animal or whale lover, after this YOU WILL BE!!!!!! This is a MUST SEE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

    buy it, view it, keep it for the kids...

    Thought it was going to be a bleeding heart type of movie, I was wrong. I have always been a fan of The Office so had no problem with Jim. but his ex wife, ick! But for this movie, a definite go see, or buy, whatever the case may be.
