2K Sports' leading tennis series returns to the virtual courts in Top Spin 4. The game's revamped controls are designed to feel natural and straightforward for those new to the series, yet still permit advanced players to make accurate lobs, smashes, drops, and other precision-spin shots. The PS3 edition of the game is compatible with the PlayStation Move accessory, allowing players to wield their wands as tennis rackets in off-the-couch gameplay. Presentational updates include television-style camera angles, cut-aways, and commentary, as well as more realistically responsive crowds in famous venues such as Arthur Ashe Stadium, Rod Laver Arena, and the O2 Arena in London. Top Spin 4 also features the deepest roster in the series to date, with both past and present stars of the sport including Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Ana Ivanovic, and more than 20 others. Each athlete is re-created with a "Signature Style," encompassing appearance, attributes, attitudes, and custom-animated swings and stances. In addition to playing as or against famous professionals, gamers can create their own custom character, to lead through an up-and-coming career and onto championship tournaments.

Would be Perfect Tennis game but for several flaws
I bought this game after playing the free demo. I thought it was very fun. Pros: Most realistic tennis game yet made Fun game Deep Career mode Good CPU Pretty game Variety in what swings look like based on court position and charge level of shot Overall Good selection of male players: Current - Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Roddick, Wawrinka, Davydenko, Simon, Tomic, Blake Legends - Sampras, Agassi, Borg, Lendl, Chang, Courier, Rafter, Becker 3D is fun Cons: Poor selection of female tennis players (only 7 compared to 10 current men and 8 male legends - no Venus Williams or Kim Clijsters, no legends, inclusion of a junior player nobody has heard of - Eugenie Bouchard) No Wimbledon (replaced by a fake tourney in Dublin) Can only create 4 players First player is only one who can use ... You have great control over the face of your player (more so than any other game), but even when I used several pictures of the players I tried to make, I could not create any resemblance - my players turned out hideous. It would be nice to have included the ability to upload a photo to be simulated (presumably the way the game designers created their players) It would also be nice to choose your exact swing (ie let us adjust various points on the arm and body for each frame of the stroke, or key frames of the stroke) Overall: For me, the pros outweigh the cons. It is still the best tennis game on the market and fun to play. If you like/love tennis, get the game.

Great as expected
One of the best sports games ever: the mechanics, the gameplay, the graphics and it's 6 years old already! One of the best picks you can get, fun to play against a partner or alone (especially career mode) and even more if you are owner of a PlayStation Move. Definitely, one of the best games made for the PS3.

Still the best tennis game in 2021!
Another reason to still have a PS3 (or Xbox) available. Excellent tennis simulator, and the career mode is excellent. Even the stars of today are in this 10yr old game: Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray. Only gripe is I wish there were more customization for wardrobe and rackets, and online matchups. Otherwise baring a Next-Gen Topspin game, this is as good as it gets.

Perfect, I love the series topspin, perfect graphics great gameplay if one day there is any direct link with ATP series, like FIFA, NBA had been even better.
