I've been a diabetic for about 10 yrs. The last two yrs have been very challenging for me to keep my sugars at a normal rate, with meds and not eating much carbs in my diet I still struggled getting sugar down. My Dr. ordered I cut back carbs, and do at least 20 min. of walking a day. I thought I'd look for a DVD so that I do some walking at home. I never imagined this walking DVD would turn into a whole body workout! This DVD is still a challenge to me to do on the days 4 or 5 miles are schedule, but I have done them. I'm 56 yrs old, and I've only had this DVD for not even a month, but I'm hooked. Love the fact that walking is the only requirement. If that is all I can do. Love the feeling I get after a workout. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome product! Was definitely worth more than i paid.
I purchased this product to help with my overall health/fitness and it's a GREAT product. It is very user friendly and for anyone with the option of being low impact to avoid injury. I like that i can use this product in the privacy of my own home and not worry about not being able to keep up in a class. I feel that this product is better than others because Leslie Sansone is a very mild tempered/patient/awesome instructor and makes you feel as though you CAN do it and if not ready she always says to work up to it eventually and it makes you just want to make it through the entire workout. As a matter of fact, I am going home tonight to do my Thursday workout since it's so hot outdoors and I missed my morning walk but still leaving me with the option of getting my cardio in and you ... I purchased this product to help with my overall health/fitness and it's a GREAT product. It is very user friendly and for anyone with the option of being low impact to avoid injury. Fun walking workouts with several options.
Leslie Sansone DVDs are excellent workouts. I don't think she makes them any longer so finding them is always good. This particular DVD, although somewhat outdated, is a good collection of various "walking workouts". You get 1,2,3,4 and 5 mile walks, plus warm-up, cooldown and toning sessions. And, you can create the workout you want. I am enjoying this DVD. And the price was great! Leslie can be "chatty", but that's Leslie, and it's okay. She's a great motivator. Worth it's weight in gold !
This DVD is worth it's weight in gold ! Leslie Sansone is very engaging. The walks have music that really keeps you moving. I've lost weight and gained muscle tone very quickly using this DVD 3 times a week without even changing my diet. DVD has options to allow you to set up the workout the way you like it. You can add up to 10 options on the menu and create your own workout which is a wonderful feature. Or you can choose each mile individually. It also contains a warm up and a cool down to make sure you get a safe workout. There are exercises for your abs, arms, legs and chest and back and a complete stretching routine you can choose. It's like working out with your friends. I can't recommend this DVD highly enough. It's a keeper !This DVD is worth it's weight in gold ! Leslie Sansone is very engaging. I discontinued the treadmill and stationary bike and began aerobics walking and elliptical machine hikes due to osteoarthritis knees popping sounds. Doable aerobics walking for my beginner to intermediate fitness level with osteoarthritis in my knuckles, shoulders, elbows and knees joints. I even cautiously do the high intensity interval training aerobics walking with Dr. Scholl’s running insoles for plantar fasciitis to absorb 30% to 40% more shock. Als, no more osteoarthritis knees popping sounds with the Kaiser physician recommended once daily joint supplement.
