We're Always Watching
If you've enjoyed this film as a child you'll continue to love it as an adult, Plain and simple. If not, but enjoy actors such as Danny Glover, Brenda Fricker, Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd and over love baseball and the idea of "Angels" then surely will be enjoyed. I'm not here to say oh but the cinematography, the graphics, the story, etc because When I first saw and enjoyed this movie I was a child. I wasn't considering those things at the time, and watching it today I still don't because it reminds me of sitting on the floor in the living room as a kid watching it all over again. Maybe it only has 6.1 out of 10 rating on IMDB but personally I think regardless of any rating you should watch them and decide for yourself. Maybe you'll love some parts, not so much others, or maybe you'll ... If you've enjoyed this film as a child you'll continue to love it as an adult, Plain and simple. Christopher Lloyd, Danny Glover, Tony Danza. A little boy who is first looses his mother, then his father, who is selfish? or is it someother, greater plan, than is hatching? Christopher Lloyd is Al, the head angel. Danny Glover, is the coach for the LA Angels. Tony Danza, is a pill-popping busted up pitcher. And then there is a little boy who sees Angels. This Disney remake of a popular black and white film, is everything, we have come to expect from a Disney film. There are tearful moments, when you think, that nothing is going to work out. Only to find, that the ulterior motive, here, has a greater plan behind it. One of Ben Johnson's better films...as the owner of the LA angels. The little boy goes onto show that faith in Angels, is the same faith we believe in ... Christopher Lloyd, Danny Glover, Tony Danza. One of the best childhood movies!
I'm 29yo now and let me tell you, watching this again made me feel as if I was the little inspired, full of innocence of an eight year old child. What a beauty this film has on my heart. And to see Danny Glover's greatness again after his passing, is just heart lifting.

Angels in the Outfield is a wonderful family movie.
I watched this movie several years ago. My 86 year old mother, who has dementia and who has moved in with me had never seen it; and I thought she would enjoy it. She loved it, and laughed so much, which made me like it even more. It is such a good story.

Remember in the 90s when you felt safe and it was still PC to mention God and angels in a film? This one is like time-traveling back to a time when jean jackets were cool and "Friends" was still new. It's like a warm hug from your childhood. Also see, Forrest Gump, Speed, and The Mask for similar feelings of nostalgia.
