I have a 1st gen. Losi Mini 8ight that I bought used, and it came with a flysky transmitter and fs-gr3e reciever, all other electronics original. When I got the car it did not have reverse functionality, brakes were fine, forward and all other functions were good, just no reverse. I deduced that my problem was either with the ESC or the reciever, as I could get the motor to spin backwards by swapping wires. I figured it would probably be best to change out the esc, this one's 30a, OG is 25a. I'm not sure if I'll see any difference in acceleration, I haven't had a chance to run it outside yet. But it did fix my problem with not having reverse, and I'm excited to get the programming card to mess around with the settings. Very, very happy so far.

I bought a pair of these for a tracked RC vehicle project. I also have the Hobbywing program card which made it very easy to configure the ESCs. Works exactly the way I needed. Calibrating the ESC for the controller (in my case I use arduino) was also easy and I kinda like that you confirm ends by pressing the button.

I have bought and used 3 of these esc’s over the past couple years. They work very nicely with no glitches. They are small enough for 1/18th and 1/16th scale. They also stay relatively cool during use.

This unit failed with a 6000kv 2420 motor and a 2 cell Lipo. It didn’t seam to overheat or smell burned. A few shorts runs and it was done. It just stutters the motor and overheats it now. Trying to use the warranty to replace.
