Only complaint is the remote control is a bit sluggish even after removing the protective film that covers the IR receiver. That said given all of the features of this compact and low cost product it is a small problem which you quickly get used to. Would recommend to anyone looking for a low-cost and compact media player. Only one issue - it will not play *.ISO files (but it never claimed to).

I was looking forward to fitting this to my home network ethernet system. I expected it to function correctly straight out of the box. And for the most part it did. There is an annoying delay on the remote control to media player response time but I can live with it. The range of the remote is puny at around 3 to 4 feet. You have to be very close to it to get a positive response to the remote. The one thing it failed to do was the main reason I bought it - to play films I have stored digitally on my remote home storage drive. I am still trying to figure out how to get around it. If I send the film to usb then put that on the media player directly the film plays without issue. It therefore follows it must be a fault with the network location. This means I will probably have to move the storage which seems like a final solution I suppose but not an ideal one. For your info the films are of mixed type, all of which are compatible with the media player.Vollständige Rezension lesen

An ideal item that allows connection to your television either by Wi-Fi and HDMI or AV cables to show or listen to pretty much any media files you have. Easily setup and running on cables within a few minutes (unless using Wi-Fi which takes a little longer to enter access codes). It's compact size does not take up much space around the TV base either. Only found a couple of "bugs" this version only has one USB 2 port (but USB 3 items connected still run) previous models have had 2 of these connections available. And the remote control seem to work better if used closer to the unit rather than from same position as "normal" TV remote.

Auto Mutli region output was the main reason for my purchase so that I could view multi media on my Japanese import tv screens not supported in UK. However apart from that the unit performs very on my home tv providing amazing quality video output .

when i first got my cyclone 4 it was as an upgrade to an old cyclone 1 so i was expecting good things, sadly thats not the case, set the clock and it forgets every time you go to standby, upgrade the firmware to v1.1 and it wont let you upgrade to v1.2, if you do upgrade to firmware v1.2 it no longer stores your sort display preferences meaning every time you boot it up you have to press the blue button once in your directory to bring up the menu, simply selecting sort by name of course doesn't work instead you have to first set your viewing preferences (preview or not) then press blue again to select your sort option, moving from one directory to another means you have to repeat the procedure. the remote whilst having a decent range is a bit picky where its pointed and is for some reason really laggy sometimes taking up to 2 seconds to respond. playback was certainly improved in the firmware update as it went from a 50% crash / lockup rate on mkv files to around 5% now so still not perfect but at least it plays most h.264 mkv files, it's much better with .mp4 files but still not perfect. after about 9 months it has now decided to forget all the network settings every time you go to standby or unplug it, sumvision themselves offer absolutely no support directing you instead to where you purchased it, obviously this is a huge issue with ebay as many sellers are simply selling individual units or small batches so you aren't going to get much in the way of support. with that said, for all its faults it is at least useable unlike so many other media players or cheap android boxes which break in months or simply never work properly in the first place.Vollständige Rezension lesen
