Any feelings one may have had for O.J. Simpson in the past & prior to reading this book may be drastically changed when finished with this incredulous work. Several issues stand out like beacons as brightly seen as a bad case of gout on a diabetics swollen ankle! I bought the manuscrict to get the view of the Golman/Sachs Families. One must balance the feelings of both sides in this issue. Make no mistake, there may have been no prejudice before this hideous affair, but after both sides make it a trump card. One family in defense of what O.J. clearly does to them, period first! No ifs, ands, or BUTS! So the race issue is clearly no defense, or even an issue for that matter. But O.J. who really has no reason too, decides to make it one, when it is clearly NOT! The most apparent is Simpsons inborn jealous rage & anger, barely kept in check by his noteriety & often overriden, not to mention all too often lacking common sense. It does not take any imagination to read the inferences between the lines that Simpson all but flaunts the fact that he feels he has gotten away with the "alleged" murder (of which he was found not guilty); combined with his sheer contempt for all things Goldman (& Sachs). Some will take exception to this, but read the book or not, it is only an OPINION! Simpson played his Fame & Race (especially) as did his legal team, to reduce the whole legal procedure to a racial issue & circumvent much of the legal proceedings. In short he used the race card to trump the legal card, and make a mockery of the legal system & he got off free, and his attitude about the entire ordeal comes through in the book. Read the book. It is at least some legal & moral recourse for the Goldmans, and an eye-opener for many readers.....it will enlighten! It is a shame that the Goldman Family is not making more money from the book, they truely deserve it. Simpsons true colors as a human being come out in this manuscript; and it makes you wonder very seriously.....was this the first time he has done this.......?Vollständige Rezension lesen
I rated this average because the book and character are poor but the Goldman's are an excielliet family. The contents is that of a sick madman who committed 2 murders and got off do to our court system. The Goldman's were on a talk show Monday ( I don't want to say which one if there is any legal problems with mentioning a Doctor's name or show title ), but at 53 years old, I remember that courtroom media circus do an injustice by publishing 10 months of Judge Ito's incompetence. If I did it ? Things that were never entered into evidence could have been the difference of this book being written today or a man being booked for double 1st degree murder. I hope Ebay will publish this review as I am trying not to break any policy or rules, but others need to know how we all feel. I believe there is a God. He is a loving God and does not punish people, but lets things happen for a reason, just ask Johnny Cochran ! OJ will have to answer to Him one day. It's already getting hot in here. Getting back to this talk show, the ghost writer has acknowledged that there were many things during his interview with OJ over months that ONLY THE KILLER WOULD KNOW. Reading this book would make a good mystery and suspense novel if it was fiction. But ALL of us that have families and friends that watched this trial, had to feel compassion for Nichole and Ron's family. This is a book that was a continuation of the FRIDAY THE 13th MOVIES with (OJ) (JASON) as one in the same. This book talks of a brutal crime that has the details of what should have been in front of the jury and not first coming out 13 years later. Why do you think he was convicted in Civil court? BECAUSE HE WAS GUILTY THEN, AND GUILTY BEFORE. I am sorry Marcia Watts and Chris Darden could not see the sucker punch coming. Gil Garcitti should havebeen in there every day and fired them until he could find real prosecutors. The ghost writer of this Non-fiction book even agrees he believes the juice did it. Anyone out there that can convince the Goldman's or Nichole's family he didn't do it, needs to be held accountable as well. The jury, even if the mix was on OJ's side, can not rebuke the evidence if it was presented correctly and included what was left out by Judge Ito's ignorance including the first BIG ONE, the Bronco chase with OJ laying down in back with a gun. That was not admitted into evidence even though the world saw it happened. This book is OJ's account of fact and fiction in order for him to gain from it financially and become famous in the light again. The talk show the other day was a tear breaker for all to watch. The rights to the sales of these books were to go to the Goldman's for part of the civil suit, but once again, they were kicked in the face. Either let it go and it goes to bankruptcy court and can loose, or fight it for their judgement. No the rights will go to pay off a 1.5 million debt to the IRS OJ had and a Bronco he bought, etc. Murder, and gets away with not paying the government 1.5 million? No he has his chance again with this Vegas thing. Back to the book. The ghost writer did a great job writing it and making sure that key things said by OJ were in it, even though OJ had him remove a few things during the interview. The end result, my opinion of this book, should have EVERY copy BURNED after reading it. I also agree with people who won't even read it. God Bless the Goldman's and Nichole's family. I hope they one day can see OJ burn in HELL, slowly. Bless all.Vollständige Rezension lesen
These are O.J.'s words. He thought it was his big moment in the sun: his time to shine over something that destroyed his children's lives, not to mention their friends, (and of course the Goldman family.) O.J. does not get the chance to cash in on this one, as he proved himself a real psycho when he orchestrated that break-in trying to get his property back. The Goldman's should get that too, and anything else he owns. Anyone that thinks this is "about race" is a fool, because he got away with the criminal portion of his trial. He DID lose his civil suit, and rightly so, because: HE DID IT! And he is bold enough to try to write a book about, and try to profit from it. Now he has hung himself on his own rope breaking into that hotel room to get "his stuff!" This just shows the gonads this guy has, and he had a chance to try to own up to what he did, and he just got bolder. This just proves it, by writing this book. So buy it, and see how an "innocent person" would act. So there it is. I am an author on Black history, and this is not the kind of history that needs to be repeated. Pick and choose your heroes carefully, as they may be monsters in disguise!Vollständige Rezension lesen
I read the book for free on TMZ. I just had to laugh at his gall. Poor baby Nichol was the abuser, she abused him, beat him, and then she was stalking him!!! Wow she was really strong for a little woman. Come on people really pay attention to what your reading, he contradicts himself over and over again. He gives about 4 different versions as to the cut on his finger. In one place he calls it an alleged cut that he never had, then what about the pictures of the cut? He says Nichol was the abuser, so then why was she always the one with the broken bones and bruises???? He says she was stalking him, but he tells about looking into her window and watching her have sex with another man, and all he was angry about was that his kids were upstairs.ummm and how many women has he lived with. And weren't the kids upstairs the night he killed Nichol and Ron??? Did the kids wear blindfolds while they were at his house??? At least she waited until she was single. What kind of example does he think he is, he sleeps with anyone who wants to bed down with his trashy ---.(They all need to get tested)OJ don't give a ---- about his kids!!!!! Yeah Nichol wasn't a saint but remember she was just a kid when she met OJ. She was finally free after 19 years and maybe went a little wild, she was finally able to be herself. The reason she took as much as she did??She didn't fell like she had anywhere else to go, she tried going to her mom and she just sent her home, said she need to stay with OJ????WOW I was also in an abusive marrage for 19 years. You don't get it, they make you feel like your nothing and that no one else would be dumb enough to have you, they drum this into your head till you actually believe it!!So you just feel stuck. Oh and another one that got to me, he says one of the things he loved about dating Barbarellie, he had never dated a woman who worked before, huh, when he met Nichole she was working as a waitress, that's how he met her. He made her quit her job because he wanted her to always be available to him when he was in town. And did anyone else notice she didn't let the door hit her in the hiney, When OJ was arrested she booked. Maybe she should write a book, I wonder if she knows more than she is telling?? And isn't amazing that he blacked out during the murders, classic OJ don't admit to anything. (I was really disapointed, he really didn't admit to the murders!!) I saw an interview with the author, I was amazed to find out that he testified against OJ at the trial,(He is the one that found Kato the dog that night,) and he also said he questioned OJ about if this was the truth, he said, YES. The author said that OJ wanted to clear the air, get it off his chest, He just didn't have the balls to actually do right and outright confess!!! And who else thinks this Mystery man that was with him was AC Cowlings???? Read Kato Kaelin The Whole Truth, by Marc Eliot It pretty much goes along with what OJ says. It is a good book, and I find it funny that Kato ran to this author, the leach wanted to be the fist on to cash in on the murders (SOME FRIEND!!!)anyway he tells the author alot, then he gets really scared, and affraid OJ will come after him next, and wants to stop the book. The author published it anyway and the way it was done poor Kato didn't make a penny off of it. LOL I understand what the Goldmens are trying to accomplish, the only way to hurt people like OJ is the pocketbook, to bad they can't get all the hidden money!Vollständige Rezension lesen
The Goldman Family recently stated on Oprah that they are only getting .17 per book sale. I think this book deserves to be bought for the Goldman's sake. They deserve some form of justice and it is obvious from the small amount they are getting from the book, that money is not their motive for publishing this book. I hope everyone will buy it and help them get a little bit of justice. The book was very interesting to read. O. J. definitely wants the reader to believe that it was Nicole's fault. He blames her for almost everything that went on in their marriage that wasn't good. The confession, in my opinion, is a actual confession. Also, after hearing the people speak about the book on several talk shows that O. J. wanted to use the book to confess to the murder and still call it hypothetical. After hearing the many people on talk shows, it is obvious that O. J. wishes he had never had anything to do with this book. He messed up big time by writing this book.Vollständige Rezension lesen
