If You liked Tron You'll love legacy
Special f/x only enhance what's in the movie.If the movie lacks a good story then the f/x will only enhance on that ,which sadly to say is most films today,tron legacy is an exception .Good continuation of Tron,The 3d draws you right into the story.You feel for the characters,

Great Movie, but not enough 3D to "wow" us ...
A fantastic big screen sensory experience with more spectacular stunts and a little more emotional currency than the first film. For those who saw its predecessor, Tron Legacy is a fun sequel. However, I've heard that the 3D aspect was an afterthought and I believe it. What better opportunity to take advantage of 3D than a tech movie like this which is loaded with CGI? So, why isn't it loaded with 3D? We watched the 3D version at the theater and now on Bluray as well. Enjoyable sequel, but disappointing lack of 3D when advertised as more. Indeed, we thought this was a great movie. Tron: Legacy
Jeff Bridges comes back in his role as Kevin Flynn the brilliant gaming software engineer who got control of his games in the first movie. Now Flynn has disappeared and left his son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) and other board of directors at his company thinking he either left or died. Through a series of events his son discovers that Flynn re-entered the digital world and has been living there. This is not a remake of the original movie, rather it is a continuation of the story. The graphics have been advanced to todays technology but all the original games have been incorporated in this sequel. The story was good and the acting was above average but it lacked some of the flair you might expect, especially in the digital animation. However it was still a good movie and will be a good addition ... if you dont like the movie then at least rent it to view its 3d quality
the 3d effects are excellent to start with tron didnt do very well on box office but what the hell at least it made up for that on 3d platform it simply is the best motion picture in 3d format yet with competitions being thor, cap america, green lantern although the effects dont start before sam enters the grid but when he enters then the fun really begins the whole grid sequence is converted in 3d and shifts from imax to normal format and theres nothing to miss during that conversion picture quality is excellent and sound is excellent as well so definitely worth your money but i gave it one less star for movie which i bought only to check its 3d and not for the moviethe 3d effects are excellent to start with tron didnt do very well on box office but what the hell at least it made up for that on 3d platform it simply is the best motion picture in 3d format yet with competitions being thor, cap america, green lantern although the effects dont start before sam enters the grid but when he enters then the fun really begins the whole grid sequence is converted in 3d and shifts from imax to normal format and theres nothing to miss during that conversion picture quality is excellent and sound is excellent as well so definitely worth your money but i gave it one less star for movie which i bought only to check its 3d and not for the movie

Such a great movie visually.
I still remember seeing the original when I was a kid, and I loved this version too. It brought back memories for me and created new ones for my kids.
