Neon Trees' 2010 Mercury Records debut, Habits, was produced by singer/guitarist Tim Pagnotta and it's a refreshing blast of timeless Rock energy and spirit that wouldn't sound out of place at any point from '60s Garage-Rock to 2010 Dance Rock. Like their name, Neon Trees are a combination of slick Pop hooks and sturdy organic Rock, both melodic and hard-hitting, their anthems of adolescent angst, longing, love lost and found, delivered with the kind of heart-on-the-sleeve passion that only comes from hard work and commitment.

Very refreshing, FUN music! . . . . "Snappy, not crappy!"
I had no idea that this band existed, until I saw them on "Live from Daryl's (Hall) House" (def. worth checking out the show video!). Well, -yes-, I had heard the song "Animal", somewhere in the back of my dome! Wow. . . . . Singer/keyboardist/guitarist Tyler Glenn is breath of fresh air, with his booming vocals (It took me a while to figure out that he is gay ~ Not that there is anything wrong with that). Very decent (not McCartney/Lennon) songwriting FWIW, with straight-forward fun / simple rockers. Nice solid backing band that kicks in the beats. Drummer/singer (& new mom) Elaine Bradley is super talented & energetic, with a sparkling personality, ... and not bad to look at. I read that they are tight with another of my favorites, The Killers, all being residents of the Sin City ... Awesome product well worth it

Awesome Album
Great sound. Great Music. My favorite songs are Animal and 1983. All the songs are great. I listen to this album very often, they've become one of my favorite bands. Very fun music.

Awesome-throwback to the 80s
I loved this CD! I love the music of the 80s and this has that kind of feel to it. I highly recommend it!

Love the songs on this CD - especially Animal - I heard it on the radio and knew I had to have it! My only very minor complaint is that it's only 8 songs - I wish there were more.
