In addition to the Dragon Age: Origins game published by Electronic Arts for the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3), the Dragon Age: Origins – Collector’s Edition comes with a cloth map of the game world, three exclusive in-game items, and a bonus DVD featuring a "making of" documentary, soundtrack, trailers, wallpaper, concept art montage, and strategy tips for playing the game. Also included are two exclusive items for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: the Skaven Skin Cloak and Adventurer’s Handbook. This special Dragon Age: Origins – Collector’s Edition box set for the PS3 comes presented in its own tin case. The edition also includes bonus codes for The Stone Prisoner DLC bonus quest and unlockable character Shale, as well as the Blood Dragon Armor for use in Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2, both games having been developed by BioWare. The three in-game items exclusively available to owners of Dragon Age: Origins – Collector’s Edition are: Bergen’s Honor, an imposing helmet made from dragon bone to significantly enhance physical resistance by +25; the Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes, which gives players +3 attribute points to spend; and Final Reason, a powerful magical staff with +3 damage, +10 spellpower and +15 percent fire damage. In Dragon Age: Origins, players have a choice of three character classes: Mage, Rogue, and Warrior. A master of elemental powers and the forces of magic, the Mage focuses on casting spells to inflict damage on enemies or to heal allies. A Mage can also combine spells too, for instance, cover the ground with flammable grease and then set it alight with a follow-up fireball. The Rogue, meanwhile, is a specialist in speed and subterfuge, focusing on developing skills like picking locks and sneak attacks. The Rogue can dual wield weapons and excels in archery. The Warrior can specialize in any weapon, whether ranged or melee. The Warrior class has extraordinary stamina and the ability to withstand more damage than the other classes. Each new game of Dragon Age: Origins begins with a choice of gender, race, and class, with their playable origin back story determined on the basis of these choices. Choosing to play as a Human in the Warrior class, for instance, will lead to the Human Noble origin, while playing as an Elf in the Rogue class will lead to the Dalish Elf origin. There are six origins in total, with the others being Magi (open to the Human and Elf races only), City Elf, Dwarven Commoner, and Dwarven Noble. These Origin Stories establish the tone for the rest of the game and provide detailed background information on the races and world of Ferelden. Further customization options allow players to determine the appearance of their characters to a greater extent than many similar games. Among the most popular role-playing games for the PS3, Dragon Age: Origins allows players to issue orders to party members and take individual control of each. The start of an impressive franchise!
Incredibly deep and expansive, Dragon Age: Origins is one of those titles that can easily swallow up dozens of hours of play and keep you coming back for more. The fact that BioWare chose to include downloadable content, including a new character and side quest, on launch day proves that they have an extensive plan for supporting the game. Couple that with the fact that each character can be developed in radically different ways, and you have an adventure that earns its own place among BioWare's expansive RPG collection. While the visuals are a bit underwhelming and the difficulty is a bit easier on the consoles, this is still a great title. This is the kind of adventure that fantasy RPG fans have been hoping that BioWare would deliver – a game with a ton of re-playability and an ... Inconsistent Origin elements and the gift feature weakens believability though. 7.5 Graphics Muddier textures and framerate hitches wind up making the visuals on the console a rough experience. Animations are fine, if a little stiff at times. 8.5 Sound Voice acting can be hit or miss, and some effects can go on for too long, but the music and the majority of sound effects are excellent. 8.5 Gameplay Gameplay is definitely action focused, and the radial wheels do a decent job, but the difficulty level is scaled down. 9.5 Lasting Appeal Set aside a large amount of time for this one – beating the game will frequently make you want to pick up and play again to see just how a decision or a conversation would be different. 8.7 Great OVERALL This game is available in my eBay Store at a good price: http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Mariio128-Gamemate

Perfect case for a favorite game!
The game has always been one of my favorites, but I've been on the hunt for a steelbook for a while now. Produce came fast and just as expected. :)

excellent game

Great Game
Great game. Excellent storyline, and entertaining gameplay. A good amount of side quests, but not enough to get you too side tracked from the main storyline. There are 3 different classes that each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Although you are not limited to just 3 types of players. There are a bunch of different types of each class. There are at least 12 different, distinctive types of players. Plus there are 3 different races, and 2 classes in each race. Each class has their own storyline (it eventually will lead in to the main storyline), so each time through is very different from the last. All in all, a great game.Great game.
