A great book that is very informative
I have always been interested in the art of Japanese bonsai and wanted to learn how to create such masterpieces. This book is a great introduction to this age old art. The author offers a great how-to guide as well as many pictures of beautiful bonsai trees. It is great for learning about Japanese bonsai and also makes for a nice display on my coffee table.

The Complete Book of Bonsai
This is the most educational book on bonsai I've found as of yet. It doesn't only give pics of end results {which are Beautiful!} but gives you step by step process in which to achieve the desired look. It includes a detailed description of varied tools and materials as well as the means to use them. I believe that anyone from beginner to intermediate could take something from it's pages, if not ideas for the pro. If someone is a beginner, this is a must have guide.This is the most educational book on bonsai I've found as of yet. It doesn't only give pics of end results {which are Beautiful!} but gives you step by step process in which to achieve the desired look. It includes a detailed description of varied tools and materials as well as the means to use them. I believe that anyone from beginner to intermediate could take something from it's pages, if not ideas for the pro. If someone is a beginner, this is a must have guide.

This book was an extremely good Bonsai book. Tells you most of the basics of bonsai. Most pages have very big pictures. After reading it, I just flipped through and looked at the pictures to get good ideas for my trees. I wish it had more information about making or buying bonsai soil and about fertilizer. Gives very detailed information on a good many species of trees, and has an index of about 300 species of trees with basic light, soil, environment information.This book was an extremely good Bonsai book. Bonsai
Bought a couple of other books on how to care for the bonsai my boyfriend bought me, and this book is colorful and informative. It's a good buy if youre trying to figure out how to care for your tree.

I know its as hard to judge a book with a cover as it is to judge one without, but you can take a leap of faith on this book. I got lucky and a friend had the same book. I wanted my own. Its the most complete book i've seen, I haven't had a question it can't answer. I'm sure there's something missing but I have't found it.
