I bought this to replace a previous Sansa Fuze that I'd had for several years. I broke my last one after jamming to music while baking too many times - I managed to get the scroll wheel completely immobilized in sweet something or other. Anyway, my previous one was an 8gb and I doubt if I used half that so I just got a 4gb. There is a slot to add more memory. I gave this a low rating for features because when you compare it to more modern gadgets, it is lacking. This is GREAT for me because I just need something to play music while exercising or driving, I don't care about much else! Interface is very easy to use and much like the iPod. The BEST part to me is that this player syncs easily with Windows Media Player, as I am a PC user and not a huge fan of iTunes. Also this little thing is fairly resistant to the elements. I've never submersed mine in water but a few drops won't hurt it. It starts right up and plays surprisingly well in frigid northern Minnesota winters as well. ;) In short, I love this simple little player enough to have purchased a second one. I also bought one for my sister a few years ago and she's still using hers. Sansa wins!Vollständige Rezension lesen
Ive bought 3 of these 2 for gifts one for me, Battery life, At least 12 hours of listening very very good and doesnt go "flat" like other batteries and lose its ability to take a full charge overtime, Features, it has all the features of an Ipod plus the ability to view pics and movies, and you dont spend $300 on an ipod video model. Design its very easy to use, laid out well many options that are easily found and easy to understand. My tech oblivious relatives never asked me how to do something on it, after a few minutes to show them how it works they can use it fine, and these are the same people that asked me to look at there brand new tv that wouldnt work, ( it wasnt plugged in) Value, you cant get a better deal, I think your nuts to buy a more expensive less capable ipod
My Son has had one of these for several years an really likes it. I got this one because I really like the volume controll design and also that it will take extra memory. I also like it because it's very easy to use Not really downing this product, but wouldn't it be nice if all Companys that make these small Players would give the customer just a little bigger battery. At least the option to buy a larger battery with a back that would hold it. Anyway the battery on this player last as long as any I've owned. Bottom line, I do really like it.
I've owned this same type of Sansa unit before, and loved everything about it--this specific unit, though, is a little quirky. The screen blacks into screen saver mode after a few seconds, in spite of the fact that I've tried to change the settings. It also stores the audiobooks differently... my other one showed the chapter titles, and this one only shows numbers. This has no impact on the Sansa Fuze in general... they're great. This one, not so much.
I bought this player to replace my old one (also a fuze) which I accidentally dropped in the john. The player holds hundreds of songs by itself and also has a slot for a microSD card. It's a photo viewer & plays videos (although I find the screen too small for comfortable viewing). And the reason why I've now bought 2 of these is that it also has an FM tuner, so I can listen to the radio too. All of this for a really good price. The player is moderately water-proof. My old one survived a few runs in the rain (another plus is that it's really light and compact). But alas, it will not survive a dunk in the toilet. If it did, I would rate it excellent.
