I have the first two Boss compressors. The CS-1 and the CS-2. They're very good and very different but the CS-3 is the one I use by far the most. I recently bought another one and a mod kit to improve the overall sound. What I love about the CS-3 is its versatility, low noise, gain and tone. It really is the best compressor I've ever used. When you turn it off on your signal you wonder how you ever lived without it.
