I’ve been primarily playing ncaa football 14 sporadically since college and it was feeling a little stale so I picked up NCAA 13 and I’m honestly enjoying it more. The physics engine and overall presentation in 14 is definitely better but the dynasty mode recruiting is a lot more in depth on 13 and makes it a lot more fun to run a long historic dynasty. It honestly feels like you have a lot more control over recruiting than in 14 and you’re rewarded more for being aggressive with recruits. It’s definitely a good 2nd option to 14 if dynasty mode is more your speed

I purchased NCAA Football 13 because NCAA Football 14 had gotten stale. NCAA 14’s dynasty is good, but outside of the Online Dynasty, the in-game dynasty has been reduced for the casual fan. This is where NCAA Football 13 truly shines. There is more in-depth redshirting both in the season and offseason, you can negative recruit other teams, have conversation topics with recruits, and face recruiting challenges which helps with the recruiting difficulty slider. The coaching contracts are also dynamic in that there are unique promises and coaching goals that must be met throughout the season. Additionally, the Heisman challenge mode adds another neat feature to a game series that prides itself on the college tradition and atmosphere. 13 may not have the physics engine that 14 has, but I found that WR’s truly track the ball in the air with their eyes and they actually jump for the ball. In 14, passing trajectories are not done as well, but they are exceptional in 13. Simply put, many things were removed or reduced in 14 to make room for the physics engine and speed up the dynast mode for players. All in all, 13 is an amazing game and I would recommend any college football fan own BOTH NCAA Football 13 and 14 to get their fix in until a new college football game is created, which could be many years from now, if ever.Vollständige Rezension lesen

NCAA 13 is well worth the money due to the depth of recruiting and that the gameplay from 14 was first introduced in this title. There are some features such as scheduling neutral site games that are not present in this game, however, the core of what makes NCAA highly replayable exists with the depth we all remember, with critical gameplay improvements compared to previous entries. The only complaint I have about the game is that the option offense does not execute nearly as smooth as in NCAA 11, mainly due to the offensive linemen not executing their blocks the way they should. In NCAA 11, you’ll see exactly what they’ll be doing presnap (such as double teaming a DT) but in 13, you just see the usual straight line blocking that screws you. This issue to me isn’t enough to detract from the overall appeal of the game because what makes it fun still exists and was improved in this edition. Plus, if you’re missing the NCAA series, why pay hundreds of dollars for the slightly watered down final edition when you could get 13 which has everything that made the series great with some great improvements? While not ncaa 14 this game still delivers on everything a college football fan would love! Was a bit nervous about the disk when I initially saw it but it works great and I couldn’t be happier. It’s also not as expensive as ncaa 14 so if you are just trying to get your college football video game fix I recommend ncaa 13.
