EA's football franchise returns for another year of gridiron action in Madden NFL 16. This year's version comes with a variety of gameplay tweaks, including new handoff mechanics, improved quarterback AI and locomotion, and a new catching system that gives receivers three different ways to pull in a pass. New RAC catches let players attempt to gain more yards after the grab, Aggressive catches find receivers breaking off routes and battling defensive backs to high-point the ball, and Possession catches let gamers use their body to wall off defenders and snatch the ball in traffic.<br><br>In addition to gameplay updates, Madden NFL 16 has added features to several game modes, and offers an enhanced in-game presentation. While realism is a focal point, the game also provides on-the-field cameras that get players closer to the action than any TV network can. Broadcasts also feature dynamic stat feedback, crowd props and signs, female fans, and more than 200 new Drive Starter commentary clips designed to highlight key players and trends at every change of possession.<br><br>The Connected Franchise mode returns to once again let gamers take complete control of their favorite team in either an online or offline capacity. The mode has been redesigned to get players into games faster, dynamic drive goals give gamers unique and specific challenges on every possession, with post-play feedback and XP awards, and the process of scouting and drafting players has been tweaked. The new Draft Champions mode lets gamers take part in a 15-round fantasy draft and then attempt to win four games against increasingly difficult competition, while the popular card-collecting Madden Ultimate mode returns.

The little things keep this good game from being a great game
The graphics are solid. The gameplay is good. The tackles and catches are great from an animation standpoint. However its the little things in the game modes that keep this from being a great game. In franchise mode the scouting for the draft is set up very well. I think its a great thing that you have busts and hidden diamonds that require you to really scout players. However the drafts themselves are all over the board in terms of talent. You might have a draft with hardly any good players at multiple positions whereas there might be 20 good middle linebackers. That isn't realistic and hurts the entire draft process. The way you progress your players also hurts a bit. They made it very difficult to get experience in comparison to past titles. You better make sure you either get very good players or young guys that are already a Superstar in terms of progression. I like the concept that they done with in-game drive goals giving you extra experience. It needed to be tweaked because its pretty dumb for you to lose experience because your goal was to run the ball 4 times and you scored a touchdown on the first carry. When you accomplish something better than the task it should automatically award you the experience. But the game is enjoyable and well worth the price now that it is no longer a new release. For $10 with the option to update the roster its well worth it.

Madden 16 is great game for throwback days
I love playing old video games from 2015 too 2021 And future games madden 16 is the best game I ever played before like the game back in 2016 like the game since.

Solid game by EA
EA is slowly getting their sports games back to being great. Love the file sharing to get custom rosters, owner mode is very fun,Player Career is OK, wish it was more like 06 and wish they would include being able to play as Oline and kickers/punters. Would have liked to see some sort of custom jerseys where you can create new team jerseys or alternates. Over all its a very fun game with solid gameplay and graphics hope EA keeps building better and better Madden games.EA is slowly getting their sports games back to being great.
