Only reason i give a positive is because the seller refunded my purchase, and only after i escalated the complaint thru eBay. For some odd reason after i requested to cancel my order after about 3 - 4 days of no communication did the seller send the package. What makes this even more unusual the seller then sent a EMPTY package! Really blew my mind. Anyways thank goodness it has been resolved.

Works well with proper updates
Was a breeze to use, once the updated software was installed, but it was a bit time consuming to be able to use it. Without the update, it did nothing. Had I not known that, it would have been a real pain. A link to a directory for the codes for explanation would also have been nice. It was a guaranteed bargain, though, compared to the alternative solutions out there. A little tip that worked for me. I found more codes than necessary, when I searched with the "incognito" browser. Now all I have to do is buy the parts and fix the spoiled little BMW........Ha Ha Ha....... Was a breeze to use, once the updated software was installed, but it was a bit time consuming to be able to use it. Without the update, it did nothing. The web experience and the software is worse than any I have seen in at least 10+ years.
I'm astounded at how many 5 star reviews this item gets. The web experience and the software is worse than any I have seen in at least 10+ years or more and that is coming from an expert. I have programmed for 40 years including banking web sites. It took 3 days to figure out what was the correct software because no where on the product does it match the descriptions of what to download. Once I finally found the correct software for this unit (v 3.5) . It took me two days of trying to download because it kept coming up with 404 errors. (no the link was not hijacked, it was the correct link) . I finally got it downloaded today and installed it. The software won't do anything. It allows me to pick English for the language and then will not accept typing to put in serial number. Additonally ... I'm astounded at how many 5 star reviews this item gets. Additonally the screen is all broken up with parts in the wrong place like the programming has no idea how to interpret Windows screens. If you press the update button anyway, it returns an error in another language that appears to me to be Spanish but I am not a linguist., and despite choosing English. And I'm supposed to trust this on my beloved Mini?

Works perfect.
I can't believe I didn't buy one of these a long time ago. Did exactly what it said it would and was very easy to use. The only thing I found unclear in the instructions was the fact it won't do anything until you download the proper .bin file from their site. Would recommend to a friend.

This is a terrific item!!! I've been working on vehicles my whole life. My daughter owns 2 mini's 2009 and a 2003. When I first opened this up I was reading that it needed an update. I also read some horror stories about people not getting it to work. I am not a computer person by any means but I simply followed the easy instructions and it was easy. After you extract the Bin Folder just make sure you right click on the extracted files and open with the Update Tool. It will go right into update mode. Easy as can be. This is a terrific item!!! Gets rid of airbag light
If you own a mini, you might have taken out the seats or moved it back to fast and had the airbag sensor disconnect and the airbag warning light comes on. A normal obd2 code clear doesnt get rid of it and you're stuck paying a shop $60-100 to clear it. This saves time and eventually money and has a plethora of other functions, such as showing codes that normal obd2 scanners dont catch.
