Product Information

The cold-steel justice of the Global Defense Initiative and the mystic influence of Kane's Brotherhood of Nod clash for the final time in Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. The fourth full release in the original C&C line plays similarly to the more recent games in the real-time strategy series, with fast action, smooth 3D graphics, and sophisticated tactical attacks and counter-attacks between balanced but different forces. The introduction of enormous Crawler units, which function as mobile bases of operations and production, keeps the action moving around the map and adds new strategic considerations.

Tiberian Twilight allows players to develop a persistent persona throughout the campaign, awarding experience points for each unit destroyed, from one scenario to the next. Points may be spent to unlock new units, facilities, and abilities, allowing for the development of a powerful, customized military force over the course of the game. In battle, both GDI and Nod players can also choose from Offense, Defense, and Support classes, further compounding the customization options. Commanders of various classes can take advantage of their strengths and minimize their weaknesses, by battling together as a team in multiplayer modes, which include a five-versus-five game that allows a group of players to command their forces together, from one online battle to the next.

The game's single-player narrative is also significant, in the series' long-running storyline, as it is presented as the conclusion to the Tiberium Saga. In C&C tradition, the drama unfolds in live-action video sequences that play between the battlefield scenarios. Following 15 years of uneasy alliance, the completion of the "Tiberium Control Network" draws near. First proposed by Kane, the seemingly immortal leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, construction of the network required cooperation with the Global Defense Initiative. Although the two forces managed to work together to see the device approach functionality, extremist factions on both sides eventually broke the fragile armistice, bringing on the final war between the GDI and the forces of Kane.

  • C&C4:Tiberian Twilight - No More Welcome Back Commander

Welcome Back Commander. Whoa, what happened to the immortalized C&C opening greeting? As some have said this game is different from all it's predecessors and that's the first change you'll notice. About 15 yeas ago I bought and still have the very first Command and Conquer and have all those that have come since. What a great deal of changes and developments of the game have we seen since that first one. The change is sometime's amazing and sometimes not always liked by some. But this game departs greatly from all the others in that you must play it online and herein lies my main complaint against the game. What happens if your internet connection is down or you're sitting in the park with your laptop and there's no WiFi service available? Let me tell you, you can't play the game! It's ...

  • command and conquer 4

This game is a disgrace to the command and conquer series. EA has totaly destroyed the style of game play by replacing the basic building ifo structure with towers. Its like they made the game into king of the hill combat. with a limited number of units, until you reach the higher ranks. Its so stupid the olny thing i do when im playing is chase the opponent around from tower to tower. Planed Strategic attacks are basically no where to be found. If you like command and conquer dont buy this game because the game is not worthy of having the command and conquer name.

  • CnC4 Tiberium Twilight

Many critics complain that they don't enjoy this game because the gameplay has changed from it's predecessors. I admit it took some getting used to the new changes but I've been enjoying it, and it's part of a game series I've been hooked on for 15 years. It's a lot more multiplayer based, the mission levels can be played 2 player and from what I understand is even sometimes necessary to get through the hard stuff. I've been playing multiplayer online for a bit now and really enjoy it. It's a capture command post based battle with respawn bases and teams of up to 5 players. You can generate as offense defense or support type bases. As you win battles you move up the ranks unlocking new units structures and abilities. Definitely a fun game, and great for people that are fans of the strategy ...

  • Simply SUPERB!!!

The Command and Conquer series is one of the best strategy games for any platform, specially for PC. You choose to be either good or bad then will progress on conquering... The most you conquer the better weapons, technology and buildings, you'll get. Don't know why, but bad guys has better arsenal... Tiberian Twightlight is one of the newest add-ons on the C&C legacy of strategy gamming. You'll need a fast processor here like 2.0GHz and up. If you ever play Warcraft it is almost the same regarding strategy... Highly recommended!

  • Good title, but sad ending to a franchise...

First off, I'm sorta loving the change up in game play- it makes for much quicker games and not having to worry about tiberium all the time is certainly a god-send! I'm only disappointed in the cinematic- much was made of them in the run-up to the release, but having played through most of the GDI campaign so far, the story is super soft, and there aren't any real good battle scenes like in the old days- and everything seems to take place in a GDI GTS and no where else. I really miss the old-school videos of C&C 1 & 2.... It does work well on older iMacs that are running boot camp, by the way. By far, a very solid title.
