The fact that this show was cancelled after just one season proves that it should have been aired on Comedy Central. It is witty and fast paced. The whole concept of puppets and Humans living in the same world with the same bias and conflicts that excist between people of different race, religion and gender made it a show with some possible depth. From Tardy the Turtle to Count Blah from Romainia, who by the way swears that the Count on Sesame Street stole his act and isn't a real Count at all because he comes from New Jersey and has Emergency Room issues with gerbels...'nuff said. The dialog references range from street slang to PC labels. Greg the Bunny is alot like Ted Dansen from Cheers in that he maybe the lead charecter but the great supporting cast is what makes the whole thing work. This is a must see for anyone with half of a funny bone.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Greg the Bunny is one of my all time favorite TV shows. It pulls no punches with comedy. Very funny with quite a bit of sarcasm (my kind of show). Quite edgy with the comedy, and great pupeteering. Has an excellent short movie that they produced called "Tardy delivery". It takes you into the world of Tardy the Turtle for a day of trying to deliver a letter to Dan Milano. Greg the Bunny was a witty, satirical, comedy that Fox did not give a fair chance to. I was and still are a faithfull watcher, with high hopes of a revival in the biggest way. The Original Tardy and Susan puppets are still missing. Please inform the people at Fox if you know where they are. He's rude, crude, and stuffed with attitude! Tired of being treated like a lowly puppet--he prefers the term "Fabricated American"--Greg The Bunny persuades his human roommate Jimmy (Seth Green), to get him a job interview with the director (Eugene Levy) on the "Sweetknuckle Junction" TV show. But instead of interviewing for the office job, Greg inadvertently lands the show’s starring role! Although he's never acted a day in his life, an ecstatic Greg soon realizes, "This place is full of freaks. I'm gonna fit right in!" Includes two episodes that Fox didn't even air. Skatchamagowza! EPISODES: [1] Welcome to Sweetknuckle Junction [2] Sock Like Me [3] Dottie Heat [4] SK-2.0 [5] Piddler on the Roof [6] Rabbit Redux [7] Father & Son Reunion [8] Jimmy Drives Gil Crazy [9] Greg Gets Puppish [10] Surprise! [11] The Jewel Heist [12] The Singing Mailman [13] Blah BawlsVollständige Rezension lesen
The combination of wit and humor is uncommon on television. This has both, and absurdity as well. It is a show that is loved by some, hated by others -- I highly recommend watching an episode or two before buying it, as if you don't like it you will just plain hate it. Seth Green's deadpan delivery is marvelous, as always; Sarah Silverman has a great niche here; and the willingness to handle such issues as cross-dressing and inter-species romance is quite amazing. I'm glad to finally own a copy.
THis is a great show that Fox unfourtunalty let go for one of there horrible reality shows. For someone who watch seasme street ot the muppets growing up you will find this show hillarious. It shows the otherside of the muppets as adults with problems and what not. It stars Seth Green (from Austin Powers and much more funny, Robot Chicken Fame) as a hand on the muppet show who rooms with the star a bunny named greg. Along with a lot of camios from famous actors and actress. A definate must for any one who loves of the beat comedys.
This came exactly as described!! I loved this series when it cam out and only wished it stayed on the air but timing was everything and it came out at a bad time for everything...2001.
