Even though this book was originally published in the early 70’s, it’s full of thought provoking information and gives you an idea of how far we have come in science and how some ideas were never materialized. Yes, some parts of the book are a bit controversial, just as they were when the book was first published, but a fascinating read all the way through! If you love plants, science, and a bit of sci-fi, definitely get a copy!

by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird, 1973 Scientists explore the reaction of plants to different stimuli, including music, colors, chemicals, and energies of different people. It is well written and has an extensive bibliography and index. It also discusses the problem with how modern agriculture creates an unhealthy atmosphere for plants. It amazes me how plants literally respond to humans and the conditions they encounter. A great book for the out-of-box reader. I bought this hardback copy to replace a paperback I had given away.
I am on a quest for seeking more insight into the "universal law" relating to God and our role in understanding our impact - both physical and spiritual - on this small planet. Unfortunately I feel only like-minded people will pursue this book. This is a wonderfully written book, and you would not necessarily realize how many years ago it was written except for the beautiful detail to artistic flourishes which are usually skipped now due to cost in publishing. Or possibly lack of creativity. This book was extremely progressive when published. I think it is still extremely progressive in thought today. Quite relevant. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in psychic phenomenon. Or if you are interested in plants, the earth and how we all relate.
book was in great shape.
