I bought this early version of the ring doorbell just to see if I would make use of it. I have found it to be really useful when I'm out and about and I get a parcel delivered. I cam tell driver just to leave it in the porch. On the negative side...I can only run it on battery and in order to get the battery to last more than a couple of weeks, I needed to turn off motion detection and live view. So I can't just log into it and have a look at the view. Also the recording of anyone ringing the bell is not stored unless you buy the Ring subscription. Therefore if you miss a call you can't see who it was. Later models have easily removable battery so charging is easy. I have seen much cheaper versions using the To See app which have longer battery life...3to 4 mths AND give you live view AND store the visitors image for free.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Easy to install and use in wireless mode 720p video in this original version is adequate for viewing on a mobile handset - less suitable for display on larger screens Fixed position camera lens may require recourse to mounting with corner wedge accessories (not included) to achieve optimum field of view Time will tell regarding battery discharge life but at least it's easy enough to detach the unit for re-charging All in all a satisfactory purchase which does pretty much just what it says on the tin

This is not my first video doorbell this is better than the cheap version by far... pictures are clear features are all good. Does slow your router even when I have a booster... sometimes slow to connect while out so you miss the person at the door but the extra app Ring Rapid it connects a lot faster, not sure why it’s not part of the main app?? For the money these cost it should be standard... also ring want you to pay for a subscription which I think is a cheek after paying so much.... Thought this was the ring 2 but it’s not it’s the 2nd generation

Got this a few days ago. was not too bad to set up. It took a few times of initiating before the Ring app detected it even though it was less than 1 foot from the mobile. Finally got it set up and working. The app controls are easy to use. There are a few distance options on the motor sensor. like 1 to 5 feet but in live testing it was more like 12 to 18 inches before it detected movement. The down side through it was found to be an excessive drain on the home wireless broadband. it slowed a good pretty quick broadband service down to the speed of an old dial up modem. trying to access simple web pages on my pc or laptop took ages after this had been connected.

This has come in handy with the current lockdown issues so glad i bought it. Fairly easy to set up but had to do a hard reset to get it going in the end, but easy to use and has a long battery life

This is a brilliant innovation. I bought it to deter intruders more than to answer the door. I am now going to add a camera. The quality is excellent and the remote motion detection is re-assuring My only issue is the cost of recording. A bit steep in price if you have 2 or 3 units

Really clear picture, works well, provided you have a good internet connection on your phone when you're out. Pretty easy to set up, although I haven't managed to get it to work with my existing door chime yet, but I'm sure I'll get there !

Puts my mind at ease after having teenagers hanging on my door they are not so keen now they are picked up by videotaping. My daughter recommended this ring call time to me as she bought one from eBay short time ago.

I upgraded from the Gen 1 because of the camera which is much better on this model.However the battery use is very disappointing 20% loss in 12 days even though the device is hardwired and is still draining even though there is no problem with the connection, transformer or installation. After reading various forums and comments it appears other people are having the same problem also with the Gen 3 as well. Some comments are blaming Ring for a problem with the firmware. The Gen 1 that I removed was hardwired and battery health never dropped below 100%.

I bought this amp, not for stereo operation, but to provide two channel amplification for my rear Dolby Atmos speakers, using the line output from my Marantz SR7010. This works well and as a bonus, the styling of the amps is the same. Also you can control both with the same remote. If you want to control them separately, the PM5005 can be set to an alternative remote code.
