This is one of the few products left that allows you to put most, if not all of your DVD'S where they can be immediately accessed. A few caveats. Make sure that it has had the firmware updated. When I first put my discs in it read less than half of 180. Second it is better if it comes with a remote. The replacements run 15 to 25, and they do the job, but aren't perfect. Lastly, even after the firmware update it didn't read all my DVD'S, one tv series it didn't read am entire season, but I've got over 150 ready to go. You can either use the internal virtual keyboard or plug in an old pc keyboard which allows you to put the name of the disc in the system. Takes time for those that don't load automatically, but it's worth it.

SONY's "video juke box" has always been a bit of a hassle to set up and use. It can take hours to manually type in disc titles that don't automatically read in - and most of them do NOT. But once you've got it all installed running, it's fun to pull up music, movies or photos on demand. That's were this product shines. I've had one of these since 2006, and when it finally gave up a few weeks ago I immediately replaced it. Glad to have my juke box back - but I'm STILL keying disc titles in manually.

Like this product , very convenient and excellent on storage , sound and clarity however I wish that it had shuttle capability to automatically play the next disc or program the amount to be played , however I'm pleased and preparing to purchase the blu-ray as well fir my blu-ray collection but overall it's a great product that I would refer to any one who has a media collection and looking for organization and space , Godspeed

I own 2 of these as well as a Sony 400 disc Blu ray player. These are awesome and amazing machines however, I have stopped using all of them because after approximately 5 years of use my primary dvd player I was using began to malfunction. It wasn't reading discs properly and some it wouldn't read at all. I figured the lens needed to be cleaned so I took all 400 discs out so I could move the unit to take the casing off and take it apart to clean the lens. During this process I found out somehow the player had cut crescent shape gouges into the play surface of approximately 135 of the discs. None of them with this gouge would play properly on any player anymore and many of them are hard to find and out of print. Use at your own risk.

I purchased the Sony DVP-CX995V To replace two earlier Sony models containing my 600+hundred disc collection of music and DVD's that melted with the Sony Multi-Disc Changers a house fire. The unit is working well though I only have a few DVD's to place in it at this time. The Sony does a better job playing DVDs when compared to my Visio Blue-ray player which does not upscale the DVD video signals to 1080P,the SONY does. Being able to enter the Movie/music name/data via a PS2 Keyboard unlike the current iteration Sony blue-ray (way too many) BIG BUCK$$$ changer. The Sony HDMI video output appears sharper than it's A/V line-out output on my 47" flat screen TV, the sharpness judgment is subjective from watching the same DVD via each signal source... Probably more noticeable on TV's above 55 inches... The remote with slide switch for selecting 3 separate function type/levels takes practice, lots of Buttons on the unit and remote and lots of output signal type choices. A good purchase and one I will continue to use with my planned home theater using 4 Adcom GFA555 audio power amps for the 6 main channels driving 4 pair of Bose 901 speakers and 2 as yet to be decided sub-woofers...Now for a Receiver...Vollständige Rezension lesen
