Terms and conditions of sale of used “green” parts: This guarantee will be honoured by Auto Spares and Salvage Ltd (greenpartsmart on ebay). We are a VRAC certified recycler meaning that all of our parts are stringently checked prior to removal and come with 90 days warranty on mechanical and electrical parts, all other parts are covered with a 12-month warranty. Our warranty covers parts only. We don’t cover labour costs associated with the fitment, removal or re-fitment of any engine or part, nor do we cover costs arising due to the fitting of an engine or part we have supplied. All our items are sold subject to our warranty terms and conditions. Our warranties are between ourselves (Autospares and salvage limited) and the named person on the invoice. Warranties are not transferable. Returns for unwanted parts/changed my mind and correctly supplied will incur a 10% (of invoice total) handling charge. We offer 90 days as minimum on all parts sold and up to 180 days. All warranty period starts from date of purchase (date shown on invoice). If within this time, the part proves to be faulty, we will offer a replacement. If a replacement cannot be provided we will refund. ECU’s & Electrical items will be checked prior to supply as to the nature of these parts, they are complicated and generally not “plug and play” items. Recorded mileages have not been verified, the accuracy of the odometer reading cannot be relied on and should be disregarded.
Engines & Gearboxes
90 day warranty on all engines and gearboxes we supply. Engines are sold bare unless stated otherwise. All engines and gearboxes must be fitted by established business garages. Engines and gearboxes fitted by private individuals will not be covered by our warranty. In the event of a claim, the garage you use must be able to provide engineers reports and receipts for parts used and fitted such as oils filters and timing belt/chain equipment and have a registered business number and address. Engines & gearboxes must be fitted in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. We do not guarantee any ancillaries or bolt on parts on our engines such as, water pumps, oil pumps, timing belts or chains, gaskets, oil filters, diesel/fuel filters. We do not guarantee any clutches that may be supplied or left on our engines these are given (if left on) as Free of Charge items and are not covered. We recommend that all of these parts are to be fitted as new before fitting the second hand engine. In the event of a claim of a faulty engine or gearbox, you must provide receipts for your purchases of: Timing kits (belt or chain), water pumps, fuel filters, approved engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, water thermostat, oil pump, failure to do so will void warranty. To start a claim, you must prove with receipts that you have brought the timing belt/chain kit and had it fitted. We do not offer warranty on any external parts or labour, broken sensors or shipping costs, warranty covers engine block and cylinder head and we guarantee the engine is not smoking or rattling. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the correct details are given to our sales team when ordering a component. All engines and gearboxes are tested prior to sale (unless sold as spares or repair). The company will accept no liability under this guarantee where engines fail as a result of criminal or malicious damage, fire or theft. In the event that an original turbo is fitted onto one of our engines supplied (without turbo) and damaged caused by a 3rd party turbo will void warranty. All claims under this warranty will be subject to a full investigation by our technicians. If it appears that the engine damage has occurred due to over heating or lack of lubrication, resulting from neglect or lack of reasonable care, or not following manufacturer guidelines, no reimbursement nor replacement will be made. If upon inspection the engine has been damaged by the malfunction of any components not supplied by the company, then it will not be covered by this agreement. All guarantees apply from the date of original purchase. In the event of any warranty claim, we may ask you to produce receipts of any service work or parts fitted following installation of any components that have been purchased from us.
Hybrid and Electric vehicle components
Hybrid and electrical vehicle components are subject to the same warranty as any other vehicle. All batteries are tested on diagnostic equipment prior to removal and are graded by mileage travelled of vehicle. All HEV & EV car batteries are covered with 90 day warranties minimum.
Our warranty covers normal use and the warranty does not cover the engine/product for track or race use or high mileage taxi services.
