Good hardware and recommended, if you are not a fan of custom ROMs.
Very nice hardware overall: screen is big, bright and responsive, CPU is fast enough for most things, has microSD card slot for storage, and a decent (but mediocre) camera. Great value, in my book. But there are drawbacks, like the average (being kind) sound quality of the speaker. The amount of T-Mobile bloatware that can not be uninstalled is rather annoying, to me. This is especially problematic given that the P769 has a locked bootloader, meaning if you plan on installing aftermarket/customized firmware you should look elsewhere. Note: there are 4-5 versions of the Optimus L9, with the other, less common versions having unlocked bootloaders. This is a great phone! Amazing price vs value!
Most of the features are easy to use and the size of the screen is amazing, battery life could be a little better but it is an android phone after all.

Good phone, easy to use.
Very happy overall with this phone, takes great pictures and is easy to use. The one thing I notice is that the sound for the volume is not loud enough even though it is on the loudest it can go. That is for incoming calls and text notifications. Battery life is not that great either but for my purpose this phone is fine.

We just purchased two smartphones, both LG Optimus L9 - UNLOCKED, these are our first smartphones & we're using with a prepaid service unlimited talk, text & web. My research led me to this phone as it seemed to have the most value for the money. The battery was a top priority. There are other phones out there that would be better but were too much for our budget. We are very happy with the phones, but still have a large learning curve ahead... Bottom Line is we have a good phone at an excellent value!We just purchased two smartphones, both LG Optimus L9 - UNLOCKED, these are our first smartphones & we're using with a prepaid service unlimited talk, text & web. It's got all the features you want in a 4G SmartPhone.
4G Smart Phone with all the features. Photo quality is not always great, esp. with moving objects or when the wind blows...no matter how still you are trying keep. Otherwise, I happen to prefer the size over the larger Smart phones out there. Overall, a decent phone.
