I wanted a golf sim to play when the weather was not cooperating and thought that it also might help with some parts of my game. Since this version is a couple of years old now I thought that I could get some good features without having to drop 50 bucks on a new one. Overall it is really, really nice. If I had a complaint, it might be that it takes soooooo long to set yourself up as a golfer, but this is par for the course (pun intended). Anyone who plays golf would enjoy the game and it has the added bonus of disk golf that my daughters boyfriends love.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 uses the new WII Motion Plus adapter. It is relatively easy to play and offers good golf feel. The graphics are better than the standard MII characters but not as good as the high end gaming systems but then again the WII was built for ease of use and just plain fun. The "feel" of the golf culb is very good. The narration and the courses available are top notch. The motion Plus adapter adds to the realism. For a fun time with a group this game is top notch. In single player mode, once you've learned how to use all the features and played all the courses it becomes a little repitious. The game is playable for anyone from probably about age 6. No violence, just good, clean golfing fun!
Gameplay is fun and very realistic, with challenge but not overly difficult. Changing clubs can be troublesome as is the navigation on the Wii system (that pesky little pointed finger just won't stay still). Putting is tough and will take time to master (isn't that the case in real golf?). Graphics are OK, the courses are beautiful however the players images aren't as "lifelike" as in past TW games. Haven't actually played all of the game yet, but my overall feeling is that this will be a great game to play. Highly recommended for golfers of all levels...make sure you purchase the "Motion Plus" for the controllers, it makes a world of difference.
Fun game.....dont expect PS3 or XBox graphic quality , more like a hopped up PS2....I got this to use during the winter to keep my arms and shoulers in movement and it seems to be paying off some...im not saying im shooing my lowest scores ever , but my early holes have improved quite a bit...Gives you good open and closed face feedback...as for you not to twist your hands....I play some of this 9-18 holes the night before I have to go golfin the next day :) and if I miss out the night before , I play a quick 9 in the morning :)) For the price its worth every penny...I paid like $18.00 for the TW2010 ...It was worth getting this one first before I shelled of a little more for the Masters Ed. 2012 edition...
The biggest problem I've had is that the program assumes an in depth understanding of golf details. There is no place to learn the tecnical details of the individual clubs like distance and trajectory at a given swing. It seems that it suggests the operation of the club in hand but does not allow the unusual use of a club like using a driver (and its low trajectory) to chip from under an overhanging obstacle. It needs to have some method of letting the user know why a given club is generally used in a given situation based upon conditions and goal. Also the practice swing is not as useful as the simple power bar type feedback as the wii Resort or Sport golf. Not being able to view the practice swing's effect from an alternate view makes it impossible to get a three dimentional understanding of the distance the ball will carry or travel. Overall, it can seem arbitrary and difficult to change your action as feedback is incomplete or unusable.Vollständige Rezension lesen
