IDENTITY, directed by James Mangold, is a thriller set at an isolated motel in rural Nevada during an unrelenting rainstorm. With all roads washed out and all forms of communication dead, a group of people become stranded at the motel along with the shifty manager (John Hawkes). Among the stranded are Ed (John Cusack), a former cop turned limo driver; Caroline (Rebecca De Mornay), a self-absorbed actress; Paris (Amanda Peet), a prostitute attempting to escape her profession; Rhodes (Ray Liotta), a cop transporting a prisoner (Jake Busey); Lou (William Lee Scott) and Ginny (Clea DuVall), bickering newlyweds; and George (John McGinley) and Alice (Leila Kenzle), a married couple travelling with their young son. Soon the waterlogged lodgers start dying in mysterious--and brutal--ways, and the increasingly dwindling number of survivors must discover the killer to prevent their own demises.Riveting from the opening sequence, Mangold's suspenseful murder mystery wastes no time in turning on the tension. Realizing that truly scary cinema comes from the unknown and the unexpected, Mangold and screenwriter Michael Cooney keep the audience--and the film's characters--in the dark and continually create situations that go from bad to worse for the luckless travelers. Cusack anchors the film as the resigned but noble former policeman, while Peet reveals a depth previously unseen in her other movies. Actors such as Liotta, McGinley, Hawkes, and De Mornay round out the fine ensemble cast. As with many thrillers, IDENTITY has a big twist, but because of the filmmakers' excellent slight of hand, it's unlikely viewers will predict the bizarre outcome.

Stranded from no where to go murder by numbers and I mean 1, 2, 3, keys that are literally ruled by death of each stranger staying in the motel rooms will dye by numbered rooms one by one after each other. Each time a motel room numbered key is found on each victim. CAST----- Limo driver (John Cusack)----- '80's TV star (Rebecca DeMornay)----- Pretend Cop (Ray Liotta) ----- Serial killer (Jake Busey)----- Call girl (Amanda Peet)----- Newweds (Clea DuVall and William Lee Scott) ----- One family (John C. Films twists were cleverly interesting. Cusack takes everyone and decides he his in charge but really isn’t after the film starts puzzling conflicts. A prisoner is transported by a cop in the beginning of the film. Wait till you see the ending of the film, you really don’t catch it right away until you think about it. I actually replayed the end to see the last “key”. 90 minutes moves the film in a momentum speed, I rated film 4**** because some role acting was cheesy. As soon as they tried to leave the motel and the cop who isn’t a real cop brings everyone back to the motel you already know the tensely is something of murder. You have a convicted murderer and a bleak motel one that looks like the Bates motel and roads that get washed away both directions. Liked the movie
Item was received in good shape and in timely matter. The movie was a good role for John Cusack who was a hit man.

Awesome suspense film
I'd recommend watching this movie to anyone. It's a thrilling suspense movie. At times, it's a little scary, and ur always confused. Sometimes movies like that end up not being so great because you don't fully understand them in the end, but not this one. At the end of the movie, you've put all the pieces together and can only think, I didn't see that one coming. It's a great movie, after seeing it, I wanted all my friends to see it. Best of all, you can get it at a ridiculously low price here on eBay. I bought it on here used, and after shipping & handling, I payed around 4-5 dollars is all. You've got nothing to lose!!! PS. When I was going up the stairs, I met a man who wasn’t there, He wasn’t there again today, I wish, I wish, he’d go ... I'd recommend watching this movie to anyone. It's a thrilling suspense movie. Murder mystery with an unusual twist.
If you like Agatha Christie murder mysteries, you might like this. However, the surprising reveal of what's really going on, might be too unbelievable for some people.
