Great book but first version was far superior to this updated edition.
I first saw this book a couple of years back and I appreciated the quality of the pictures, the way every topic was thoroughly researched and documented and the overall feeling this book was as luxurious as the subject itself. I had to have it. When I purchased this updated edition, some of the topics that had attracted me in the first place had disappeared with a feeling that it had been replaced by pages and chapters covering at length the new concepts of the LV stores around the world. I am disappointed as my motivation for buying a book on Louis Vuitton is to learn more about the LV products (trunks, bags, leather goods... etc) and the history of the manufacture rather than the architecture and design of the new LV buildings... This book is a beautiful object, a perfect gift ... I first saw this book a couple of years back and I appreciated the quality of the pictures, the way every topic was thoroughly researched and documented and the overall feeling this book was as luxurious as the subject itself. I had to have it. When I purchased this updated edition, some of the topics that had attracted me in the first place had disappeared with a feeling that it had been replaced by pages and chapters covering at length the new concepts of the LV stores around the world. A gift for a table book fan.
I purchased this as a gift for a friend who has table books that are more for show than reading. Check around as I found it over $20 cheaper after purchasing...the book was sealed but I saw the contents before buying elsewhere. If you are into fashion and want to see trunks, bags, and pocketbooks you may love it!!

Even though it took a long time to arrive, I am really happy I received this book. It was priced just right - almost 50% of retail. I am using this as one of the books on my coffee table
