Product Information

Developer Rockstar San Diego returns to the gritty urban streets for their sequel to the PlayStation 2 launch title Midnight Club: Street Racing. Players once again assume the role of an underground street racer as they embark on a potentially profitable career spanning the world, with events held in Paris, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Rather than confine racers to a specific route on a closed-off track, Midnight Club II offers open-ended courses within each city that feature shortcuts, tunnels, bridges, jumps, overpasses, and more as players do whatever they can to stay ahead of the competition. <br><br>Each city is also filled with animated pedestrians and traffic, essentially serving as moving obstacles that can interfere with a player's high-stakes race. New high-performance vehicles are available to drive, unlock, and store in the player's garage, including the debut of motorcycles. Motorcycles are fast but also more difficult to control, requiring new skills to master as players weave across traffic and zip through narrow alleys. Over 28 hot rods, muscle cars, and rally cars round out the vehicle lineup, and players can perform stunts, such as wheelies, tipping cars on two wheels, 360-degree spins, burnouts, and more to help navigate the course or to impress the competition.<br><br>The AI has been enhanced from the previous title to allow for more "on-the-fly" decisions in regards to the routes computer opponents take, making each race a different experience since rivals no longer follow a set path to the finish line. Since the basic premise of the game is illegal, players should expect the police to engage in high-speed pursuits and attempt to stop them from completing the race. As in games like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, law enforcement can call for roadblocks and rely on helicopter patrols to put an end to the competition. Also adding to the challenge is variable weather, including rain, fog, and lightning storms that can hurt visibility.

    Midnight Club II

    I bought Midnight Club II, because I have Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition: Remix and loved it. Midnight Club II wasn&apos;t what I was expecting it to be. The third editon, MC3, offers much more in cars, upgrades, and other aspects, wheras MCII has all preconfigured cars and there is nothing to really work for. I love what Rockstar Games has done with the newer versions of the MC series, but with this particular version, I am very disappointed. I may even resale on Ebay. And as for the ESRB rating of T, I would suggest maybe M, because there is some very offensive language in the music lyrics as well as in the dialoge between u and the AI players, such B**ch, B****rd, and the like. later versions of MC do not have the T rating, but an E rating and the fowl language has been drastically ...

    This sequel is better

    A major improvement from the first game. The car models are much better, graphically better and there's 3 cities to race on rather than 2 like in the first one. Everything is updated even the games mechanics. Its basically a improved version of the first game.

    Great Game

    The Midnight Club series has always been one of the higher-end racing game series'. It is appropriate for all ages, and was more realistic than most other racing games at the time of its release. Midnight Club 2 was just an expansion on an already good game.

    Works perfectly, 100% the game!

    The disc came scratch free and it worked completely well, I've 100% the game and I'm glad it worked so well.

    Midnight Club II A+++

    The game was great. I bought this games for my son about 2 years ago, some how during a movies the games was damaged, at the time i was unable to purcahse another, thankfully i found it at a cheap brice from thumbmonkeys. The games is excellent, good race cources, challanges you just enough to keeo you interest and motivated to win so you can clear the course and move on tot he next.
