MLB 2K11 refines the core features of its predecessor with revamped fielding, updated 3D player models, and tweaks to the existing play modes. The dynamic player ratings system introduced in 2010 is now available across all game types, allowing in-game athletes to benefit (or suffer) from their real-life counterparts' performances on the field and at the plate. The fielding has been redesigned to offer better AI positioning and visual cues to make snagging fly balls or turning double plays easier and more fluid than with previous entries in the series.<br><br>The "My Player" mode returns, allowing you to guide a position player through the minors and majors while trying to build a Hall-of-Fame career. The "MLB Today" option is also available, where you'll experience updated commentary and stat overlays that reflect current happenings around the league.

It feels like the MLB 2K series is taking the baby steps approach. After the poor showing over the last couple of years, 2K Sports has worked on improving the game incrementally. MLB 2K10 was playable, but definitely didn't compare to its rival, MLB: The Show. Compared to its predecessor, there aren't many new things in MLB 2K11. The developer chose instead to improve and build on the modes already in the previous installment. The ways your character can earn stat points has been increased, making it easier to build up your player over the course of a few seasons. It still has that problem of being a limited game mode, as you only get to play defense when it's a play that is hit to you. The Franchise mode has some added features, like allowing you to manage your minor ... It feels like the MLB 2K series is taking the baby steps approach. But ultimately the mode feels somewhat lackluster.there's a noticeable improvement in the character animations for pitchers and hitters. Players throw, swing, and approach the batter's box less like robots, and more like the players you know and love. The fielding animations look better too, but still don't string together very well. It's not a bad baseball game, and has certainly made some improvements.The glitches are fewer, but still noticeable, and the game does make some graphical improvements.

Catching up to The Show.
MLB 2k11 is a solid game. Much like the Show, you can create a player and build his ability on the way to the bigs. There is online play as well as career and manager mode. They update rosters everytime you turn on the game (as long as you have it hooked up to the internet). This game is the same price as MLB the Show 11, but if you wait, I'm sure you can get this game much cheaper in a few more weeks. It would be well worth the money.MLB 2k11 is a solid game. Baseball is Wonderful.
Little leaguers you didn't make it because of a injury but still have aplace for baseball inthe heart and can control all the electrical equipment.Set this up ,catch on and have a good time.It is real man! oh ,but the m..u..s..i..c..gets a ??? But I am from the late 60's &70's.
