One of the most notable features of the Dyson AM09 Hot+Cool Jet Focus Fan Heater is how safe it is to use. As a tower fan and heater, it has no spinning blades or exposed heating elements, which means it is completely safe to have in homes with young children and pets. In addition, if the device is tipped over, it shuts off automatically. The Dyson AM09 projects cooled or heated air in a wide arc, with the coverage extending to as much as 90 degrees from either side of the device. In heat mode, it delivers even room heating in a matter of moments while the fan offers efficient cooling. The temperature settings range from 33 degrees Fahrenheit to 99 degrees Fahrenheit. Air Multiplier technology provides cooled or heated air to a specific spot using the surrounding air to provide the high-velocity airflow. A remote control allows users to control the device from across the room and it stores on the fan itself when not in use. Its smooth oscillation action delivers direct airflow quietly. It features a sleep timer that allows it to be programmed to turn on or off at preset times and can run for as little as 15 minutes or as long as nine hours. The Dyson Hot+Cool Jet Focus AM09 fan and heater is small, standing 24.9 inches tall, making ideal to place in a corner or other less-traveled location in your space. I own the previous model, Dyson heater-fan AM05 and I find this current model AM09 downgraded in respect to fan power and construction materials. Otherwise, this is a well made, sleek and quiet product which adequately provides fan cooling and sufficient heat. The additional upgraded features of the remote are both convenient and functional. This fan is a good value if purchased **below the suggested retail price. designed well, too expencive for average student
The fan is an unusual configuration; the blowing power is lacking, looks like just a regular fan without the blades, the heater works but has not put to use due to summer. Needs more power then level 10, needs to be manufactured to go to 20, the weather gets hot were I'am, suitable for the San Francisco area.

Refurbished unit works great-a bit of scuffing on the body, but nothing major
This is the third Dyson product I have purchased as refurbished. The unit works well as with previous refurbed units I have bought in the past. The only issue was a minor scuffing of the blue body but not a big deal as it is not a brand new unit. The heating and other mechanical and electronic components all work as expected.

Small space, great little machine.
Takes up little space. Remote magnetically attaches to unit so you don't lose it easily. Heats well, fan moves air in both modes terrifically. Really impressive little unit.

Best Heater on the Market
Best heater I ever purchased! It zeros in on a bed or area to heat and you don't waste power heating a larger area. I live in the highest kilowatt hour rate in the 50 states and it really helps. I don't notice an increase in my power bill!
