Horrible fake acting the gore scenes were intense and very cool. Overall it was good gore. Should have had metal music playing during the movie.

My review for *The Burning Moon* (1997) Directed by Olaf Ittenbach Any review I have ever read about this film is always along the lines of "goriest and most disturbing film you will ever see" If you are an extreme gore hound such as myself you will be sadly disappointed. First of all, the gore in this movie (what little gore there is) Is laughable by my standards and for the life of me can't understand how this movie could have possibly of been banned in several countries (Including it's own country of Germany) Even for it's time. So any review you see about this movie saying "Goriest" ignore them. Needless to say it's a very over rated movie... Aside from that, the acting is pretty bad. The 2 bedtime stories in which the crack head brother is telling his sister are interesting stories but could have been executed better. the first story is about this killer who ends up escaping a mental institute, and the second story is about a priest that goes around raping women and doing sacrificial shit. Probably the good part about this film is the hell sequence near the end of the second story. It's a very independent film and the only reason and I am giving this film a 2 out of 5 star rating is because it gave me a good laugh. So if your looking for a movie loaded with gore, this is not the movie. Don't waste your money on this. If you want to watch it at all, check it out on youtube if it's available. Some of his films are pretty good, this ain't one of themVollständige Rezension lesen
