The game is a good game to be sure but I found it to be a letdown on more than one level first of all it is to short, second it is really only a few chapters from Crysis and it is about getting an object that in Crysis is a one scene shot as such it seems almost dumb to have an entire game just to get an object that had little point in the parent game. I also find it a bit disappointing that people in the storyline are never really seen and it bugs me. The bell and whistles are very good as are the effects but it is just that the game left me feeling like I went on a road trip to get to the beach to meet my girl and when I arrived the beach was closed and the girl was cheating on me. In short the game leaves you feeling like there was no point to it. Albert Torcaso
played original crysis. A little difficult to learn controls at first and I let it sit for a long long time. Once i got used to it, couldn't stop, much like the second version. However, the only reason i gave it a good rating instead of excellent is that it was too easy after getting through the first. Easy means fast and i think i finished the game in 2 days.
While many FPS games have ample graphics , and the ability to be altered , Warhead is at the top of the list in FPS. When you consider that most of the time , buyers are attracted to the pics on the retail packaging , this game will play even better than what the Crysis Warhead front cover suggests. Meanwhile the rear cover pics are what seem to be the norm overall in other games , with exceptions - making Warhead top notch. Without question , the adult storyline is serious and adds to the realism that is captured within it's own environment. The concept of the nanosuit and the science-fiction theme , coupled with war - are second to none. I'm glad to see that EA has emphasized some "cinematics" or "ragdoll" attributes into the gameplay - as well as made references with the AI so that enemies and the entire platform are responsive to game activity. Warhead has to be given extra credit for it's authenticity of playability , which I score as 10++ of 10. If there is anything missing in this game , it is that I would have liked to see long segments leading into large buildings and underground (hallways and rooms in ruin) , where there could also be multiple outlets to the surface or outside - allowing the player to decide how the game progresses , and also adding yet more realism to Psyco's character and abilities. Any drawbacks to the game are as a result of the abundance of weaponry , making it seem like a walkthrough war at times. I would have liked to see alot more enemy reinforcements , based upon Psyco's success - even though there is an ample amount of alien creatures , bosses and alike. Absolutely - Warhead deserves to stake it's claim to "Game Of The Year" , and is even good enough to include books and movies along the storyline in the future. To describe Warhead's achievement in a word - "phenominal". In fact - Warhead , is the only game I can truly say that I would start over again from the beginning and not look back , as the multiplayer (CrysisWars) is equally as good , and never the same way twice.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Pros It has excellent graphics, of course. It is more fast paced than crysis. It has a more involved storyline. I like the way the plot unfolds in this better than the original crysis. You work more with other players than crysis. It has a couple new weapons, but not really anything worth getting excited over. Cons One level in particular refuses to load. "Under the Thunder" freezes while loading, leaving the game unplayable after a certain point. EA support doesn't seem to be of much help. Pretty sure its not my computer, because I have Phenom II 940, 8 GB RAM, 1 GB HD4870. Other people have been having the same problem, and the patch does nothing to fix it. There are a LOT of glitches/bugs/whatever you call them. Having Crysis Wars separate from Warhead is a total crock. Since they are separate titles, it means having them both will take up more space than if they were combined, since things like textures and the engine itself are installed twice. Conclusion A good title if it weren't for the mass of technical problems. Having the multiplayer separate is just stupid. EA used to make great PC games, including certain NFS titles. Unfortunately, their recent trend has been to screw pc gamers, and this title is no exception.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I really like this a bunch better than Crysis. while it may seem "easier" I guess that is because of the "upgrade", the ideas of making a already success game even better. Call me spoiled, but being able to gather ammo, have a choice of weapons, is a big plus in my book. For those trying to decide, hopefully you play Crysis first, then play Crysis-Warhead. I promise that you will see a BIG difference as to its playability or functioning. To the makers, I do hope that you have more of Crysis/Psycho coming. I will definitely be a customer/supporter. Hopefully it goes nothing but better, yet challenging for new stories. Get this one way or another [new/used] and you should be finding that you ARE enjoying it. I have since shown 2 friends to Crysis/Crysis-Warhead, and both picked/likes Warhead over Crysis ... tho neither has played it. However, I did leave an extra Crysis at their home and will be curious as to if they played or not. But again, Warhead is the way to go!Vollständige Rezension lesen
