I like this game it's not to bad I only remember playing it once as a kid and that was with my step-dad Story: There is none but I think it's just a Kart Racing Tournament Game play: It's just fun it's not to hard you just hold down that "A" button and Drive to victory but you have help if you drive into a colored block you can get an item (My favorite is the red shell) some are good some are bad but they will all help you win, but watch out your not the only one that can get them! Look: I think this what drags the game to a 4 and not a 5 i know it's N64 but the characters look bad their really bad looking they have huge heads and it looks like a bunch of pixels crammed together the levels and everything else looks great but the characters are distracting Goal: It's real easy just get to the goal Overall: I really enjoy this game I think it's one of the best in the series (The best being the newest...I think) Like i said for Mario 64 get this and if you can't Afford to buy the actual game download it on Virtual Console for your Wii and if you can't get either...your a Microsoft guyVollständige Rezension lesen
Mario Kart 64's graphics were great for the time. I love the cute but useful weapons and the game has a certain charm in it's multiplayer mode. The negatives for me are easy--I wish the game had more characters brought in--racing games are most fun when they include large fields, characters like Waluigi, Daisy, Koopa Troopa, Boo, and Link could really boost this game I also wish the races were longer (3 laps is kinda short) and there were more tracks all together, the 16 tracks become redundant after awhile--especially since only one of them has any real length to it. That said--this game will always hold a special place in history, and be known as one of the top games to grace the N64, it was innovative at it's time.
Overall a good deal. N64 games have increased in value in the last 10 years and this game can fetch for a pretty high price at game stores and professional retro game websites. We’re talking like upwards of $70-$90. It’s a classic game to have for the console, great way to use for controllers. While future Mario karts improved on control and other mechanics, this game is still as playable as it was back then. This game just screams 90’s nostalgia.

A fun time passing racer! -The Good -Multiplayer -Battle Modes -The Bad -Graphics -Lack of Modes of Play -The Summary -A good racing game, if you’re willing play many courses on end with that (besides battle mode) being the only thing you can do. Other than that, there are many interesting and genuinely fun tracks to race on! There are 16 tracks (4 per Racing Cup) to race on, not including battle arenas. You can race and battle on these tracks using 4 classic Mario characters. Racing is fun, but when you’re all raced out, you can battle with up to three friends in on of the four battle arenas. In battle, you must fight for your survival using various pick-ups, such as shell and bananas. You must hold on to your three balloons, or you’ll turn into a bomb on wheels (literally)! -thepokeson
Mario games are as addictive as any other franchise out there. The Mario Kart series is no exception to the plump plumber's charm. Mario Kart 64 is the second installment in the racing series and a fine sequel that comes recommended to any fan of Mario. The maps may not be as inventive as the Cube or DS versions and controls are not as sharp or drawing distance as far but this is still a great way to waste time with friends or all on your lonesome. But if money is in question, check out the other two before you buy this one. If you are a hardcore Mario fan you will probably have to have it anyway. I own this one myself and loved it until I spoiled myself with Double Dash. 3.5/5
