I already own this watch but the K version which I modded by putting in an sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel and an upgraded jubilee bracelet and wanted another skx007 to be my knock around watch so decided to get the J version as I've heard it is supposed to be better in quality but I have to say the only difference that I can see, the case is slightly polished better, this watch I will have lots of fun with as I'll be swapping the straps every so often for maybe a leather one day or a nato the next, I don't know of any other watch that you can have so much fun with and make it personnel to you also the less than £200 depending where you buy from, it's an absolute bargain for what you get, seiko solid build quality apart from the misalignment of the chapter ring which is an easy fix but seiko are known for it, the 7s26 movement will run and run for many years without a service, iso diver certified, been around for decades but taking all this into account and how popular this watch is, I hardly see them on people's wrists which for me is brilliant because when friends see mine they comment on it. And if you evrr decide to sell it on you are guaranteed to get your money back. Alot of people comment on how dated the skx007 is due to the non hacking and non winding but I actually don't mind it, maybe seiko will upgrade the watch with a movement that you can wind and that has hacking but who knows, if they did I'd buy one. My pics show the J version on the left with rubber strap from watchgecko and K version on right with that low dome sapphire and ceramic bezel insert, both stunning, get one as you will be very pleasedVollständige Rezension lesen

The Seiko SKX007J Divers Watch (Made in Japan) is a classic automatic Divers watch rated to 200 meters, out of interest I'm an Ex Bell Saturation Diver working from Diver Support Vessels in the Uk and Norwegian sector and overseas. I have used the Seiko 200meter Watch professionally and can highly recommend them, oddly my main watch was a Rolex Sea Dweller at the time with the Helium gas escape valve which still remains a standard fit to the Rolex.. Personally I've used both at depth but for me the Seiko performed all the way, at a fraction of the cost. Awesome.

This watch is built to last. Often viewed as the starting watch for a budding watch collector, this timepiece is a great tool watch, that’ll take anything thrown at it. These watches are known to take abuse and it’s not unknown for this to go 20 years or more without the need to service them. The movement inside may not be hand winding and hackable, but it sure is reliable. I’ve bought a couple of these over the years and they are dependable, look great on average sized wrists and they are true iso certified dive watches. It’s not in the realms of fantasy to hold these in as high esteem as Rolex’ legendary Submariner. The only downside, is that they have shot up in value, from under £150 in 2018 to today’s silly prices.

An iconic ISO certified divers'watch. It's tough, so it should be 10-15 years before it needs servicing. This is the J version, made in Japan, better quality, and it shows with great timekeeping. Love it!
